⚖️ #Rwanda #Kagame #RDC #FDLR #AfricanPower #Turwimane #Turikumwe #WeareTogether
Is the Rwanda 🇷🇼 - DRC 🇨🇩“Peace Deal” … being mismanaged by the broker himself? I’m asking because the partiality of the broker might be compromised… that’s my reading from this 👇🏾 “We refused to remove defensive measures, weather it means troops and whatever else, we call it defensive measures. And in your logic… why would a threat be against me, and you’re asking me to remove my defensive measures … but you’re not dealing with the threat.. what is the logic?” Or there’s something we don’t understand in the broker’s procedures?

It was a pleasure to host the Namibian delegation and share lessons learnt on our oil journey. We congratulate the Republic of Namibia on their imminent Final Investment Decision on the Venus oil project. We commend their effort to visit Uganda and learn from our journey. Let’s continue to make the right choices for Africa’s resources. #AfricanPower

UNOC has hosted a delegation from the Bank of Namibia on a benchmarking visit to learn from Uganda’s oil and gas journey. The delegation’s areas of interest included oil revenue collection, coordination with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and the Bank of Uganda, management of public perception, and promotion of national content. UNOC emphasized the importance of strengthening national content through skills development & employment, as well as the importance of careful evaluation before making major financial commitments.

Hello Mainstream Media — where are you?! 🤔 #Ethiopia just completed #GERD — the biggest dam in Africa — self-funded, against all odds. No war, no famine? So no coverage? We built it. We did it. We WON. #MyDam #EthiopiaRising #AfricanPower 💧⚡🇪🇹 Thanks to social media, the world heard us loud and clear! The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (#GERD) is, not just for #Ethiopia, but for the entire region. My question to the silence of the so called mainstream media. Major global developments like GERD — a massive, fully self-funded hydropower project in Africa, completed against incredible odds — should be front-page news. Yet often, it only becomes “newsworthy” to them when there’s conflict, disaster, or drama. Positive African achievements? They’re too often ignored or underreported. But let’s give credit where it’s due: #Ethiopians stood together. The #GERD is now fully completed, marking a historic milestone. It’s not just a dam — it’s a symbol of resilience, unity, and self-reliance. Thanks to social media and independent voices, people around the world are waking up to this narrative — one that isn’t filtered through bias or neglect. So yes: #Ethiopia wins. #Africa rises. And the world is watching — whether the mainstream likes it or not. #MyDam #GERD #EthiopiaRising #AfricanSolutions 🇪🇹💧⚡ 🗣️ While the world looked away, #Ethiopia built history. 💧 The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (#GERD) is now complete — the largest hydroelectric dam in Africa, powered by the dreams and unity of Ethiopians 🇪🇹. No international loans. No hype from mainstream media. Just resilience. ✊🏽 Against the odds, Ethiopia WINS. #MyDam #GERD #EthiopiaRising #AfricaUnite #PrideOfAfrica #Hydropower #WeMadeIt 📢 A major milestone for Africa: #Ethiopia has completed the Grand #Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) — a self-funded, 100% African-built project that now stands as the largest hydroelectric dam on the continent. Despite media silence, political pressure, and financial hurdles, #Ethiopians came together to achieve something truly historic. #GERD is more than infrastructure — it’s a symbol of self-reliance, innovation, and unity. 🌍 Congratulations to #Ethiopia and all who contributed to this vision. #GERD #MyDam #EthiopiaRising #AfricanDevelopment #Infrastructure #CleanEnergy #WaterSecurity @BBCWorld @cnbcafrica @cnnbrk @CNBCnow @FrenchNews247 @TheHeraldOffice @SkyNews @AlJazeera

Ethiopia Built Africa’s Biggest Dam Ever! The Grand Ethiopian Renaissanc... youtu.be/YWxOacCn0hA?si=5sAg… via @YouTube The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance is a monumental $4 billion gravity dam on the Blue Nile River in Ethiopia, designed to generate up to 6,450 megawatts of hydropower. Touted as Africa’s largest dam, it symbolizes Ethiopia’s ambitious push to become a regional energy powerhouse, with the potential to supply affordable electricity not only domestically but also to neighboring countries. Construction began in 2011, and the dam, initially known as the Millennium Dam, was renamed GERD by Ethiopia’s Council of Ministers on April 15, 2011, reflecting national pride and a vision for economic transformation. The project, funded through government bonds and private donations, was originally slated for completion in July 2017 but has faced delays due to technical challenges and geopolitical tensions. The GERD has been a source of significant regional controversy, particularly with Egypt and Sudan, both downstream Nile River nations heavily reliant on the river’s waters—Egypt for about 90% of its freshwater needs. Egypt has demanded that Ethiopia halt construction and negotiate a legally binding agreement on water allocation, citing the 1959 Nile Waters Agreement with Sudan, which allocated the river’s flow exclusively to the two countries and granted Egypt veto power over upstream projects. Ethiopia and other upstream states reject this agreement, arguing it unfairly excludes them from utilizing the Nile’s resources, which originate largely from Ethiopian highlands. This dispute has led to a decade-long standoff, with Egypt exploring options to sabotage the dam and Ethiopia asserting that the GERD will not significantly reduce downstream flow but will instead mitigate droughts and enhance regional energy security. As of August 2025, the GERD remains a symbol of African ingenuity and a focal point of geopolitical friction, ...amid ongoing negotiations. #ethiopianrenaissancedam #africangamble #granddamafrica #ethiopiavision #africanenergy #hydropowerethiopia #renaissancedam #africanindependence #powerafrica #energyshift #niledispute #africafuture #kimludcom #strategicafrica #WaterDiplomacy #EthiopianNews #nileriver #development #EnergyBoost #africanprint #AfricanRenaissance #africa #africa #Africanews #FutureLeaders #Ethiopia #news #newsfeed #africanfashion #africanhistory #AfricanMusic #hydroponics #Nice #AfricaRising #ethiopianculture #ethiopianairlines #Ethiopian #africanart #energyhealing #energy #energyhealing #EnergyEfficiency #africanpower #newyork #newafrica #africa #infrastructure #kimlud #kimludmedia
