We’re excited to be hosting something special alongside AWS this Bio-IT week. PTP is teaming up with Amazon Web Services for “An Evening with AWS & PTP at the F1 Arcade”- a relaxed, high-energy after-party following the Bio-IT World Conference & Expo in Boston. This event is all about connection. No formal agenda, no pressure - just an opportunity to unwind, continue conversations from the conference, and meet others across biotech and life sciences in a more informal setting. We’ve chosen a venue that brings a little extra energy to the night. Whether you’re there for great conversations, new connections, or want to jump into the F1 racing simulators for some friendly competition, it’s designed to be a memorable experience. Looking forward to bringing together clients, partners, and peers for an evening that blends community, innovation, and a bit of fun. I don’t think that’s what this conference is for. It’s designed for financing. What else would you expect? That’s like asking why don’t they do more financing and capital allocation presentations at BioIT. I think your frustration is legit but misplaced

After a decade in TechBio/BioIT I have finally started to see numerous technologists recognize where value in therapeutics is actually created (First in human) Think this new gen of AI-bio companies will be different. Bullish

Celebrating One Year of BioE3: From Policy to Action! On 31st AUgust, 2024 #BioE3 policy was officially launched. To mark one year completion of the policy, Honb’le Union Minister @DrJitendraSingh, stated, “We do not wait for others to take the initiative, we are among the first to launch an institutionalized policy, the BioE3 Policy. India has set up 21 biofoundries which is not a small thing. Presently 100 incubators and 4000 startups are in the country. The #bioeconomy has soared from 86 billion in 2020 to 165.7 billion in 2024. The sectors contributing to this surge are Bioindustrial sector at 47.2%, Biopharma at 35.2%, BioIT/Research at 9.4%, and BioAgri at 8.1%. This is a reflection of India’s potential as a global Biohub.” #AtmanirbharBharat #ViksitBharat @DrJitendraSingh @rajesh_gokhale @dralkasharma25 @BricDbt

🚨Public Data Resources Are Disappearing — Help Shape the Future of Scientific Research by June 2! 🚨 Federally funded datasets have powered decades of scientific breakthroughs. But as highlighted in a recent NEJM article, vital U.S. health data are quietly disappearing—with little explanation and major consequences for research, innovation, and public health. We're collecting insights from the global research and biopharma community to understand the real-world impact of losing access to these resources. If your work depends on public data—U.S.-hosted or otherwise—please take 10 minutes to complete this anonymous survey. Your input will help inform advocacy efforts, shape funding strategies, and support risk planning. 🔗Survey Link: surveymonkey.com/r/BioITPubl… 🗓️ Deadline: June 2, 2025 📬 This survey was developed by members of the Global Alliance for Open Science (GAFOS), a collaborative group formed at the 2025 Bio-IT World Conference & Expo. Contributor contact information is included within the survey for those interested in staying engaged. We're working to gather meaningful insights by June 2, share results with the broader community, and continue this important dialogue throughout the year. Please help amplify this effort by sharing the post with your network. Let’s ensure public data remains accessible, protected, and impactful. Your voice matters. #PublicData #OpenScience #LifeSciences #Biopharma #ResearchInfrastructure #NIH #GlobalResearch #DataAccess #BioIT #DataJustice #Survey

The video of my talk at the BioIT World is available and I think that this is the most important dilemma in AI-powered drug discovery that every successful company must solve. AI is evolving much faster than it takes to validate it. And even with the aggressive drug discovery timelines, it is impossible to move at the speed of AI. That is why you need to have the AI software business. Most of the AI companies with the pipeline have obsolete AI and most of the AI companies without the pipeline do not know if their AI works for a real program where you need to confirm hundreds if not thousands of generation conditions. IMHO, this is the biggest challenge in AIDD. youtube.com/watch?v=uvmpJ73-…

Excellent article by Allison Proffitt of the @bioitworld on Aging Research and Drug Discovery using generative AI. It was a pleasure to give a keynote at the BioIT World on this important subject. If the drug works in aging, it should work in multiple diseases.
