Glad to participate in the launch of Maruti Suzuki’s Flex Fuel Vehicle (FFV) Wagon R in the esteemed presence of
@nitin_gadkari, Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport & Highways, and
@HardeepSPuri , Hon’ble Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas.
This milestone marks another significant step forward in India’s sustainable mobility journey. Flex Fuel Vehicles empower consumers with greater choice by enabling the use of multiple fuel blends, including higher ethanol blends, thereby reducing dependence on fossil fuels and supporting the nation’s energy security and decarbonization goals.
The success of flex-fuel technology is well demonstrated globally. Brazil has been using FFVs for nearly four decades, where consumers routinely choose between gasoline and ethanol based on availability and economics. Today, flex-fuel vehicles dominate the Brazilian automotive market, showcasing how technology, policy support, and consumer adoption can work together to create a cleaner and more resilient transportation ecosystem.
As India accelerates its transition towards cleaner mobility solutions, the introduction of the Wagon R FFV by
@Maruti_Corp represents an important advancement—supporting farmers through increased ethanol demand, reducing carbon emissions, and offering consumers greater flexibility at the fuel pump.
Congratulations to the entire team at Maruti Suzuki India Limited and all stakeholders involved in making this important initiative a reality. Looking forward to seeing flex-fuel mobility contribute meaningfully to India’s vision of sustainable and self-reliant transportation.
