Excited to share our latest manuscript evaluating the implementation of a TeleHospitalist admissions model within a large academic health system. As health systems face increasing overnight admission volumes, variable patient flow, and workforce constraints, telemedicine offers an opportunity to support hospitalist workflows and help maintain timely care delivery. In this study, we describe the operational characteristics of a centralized TeleHospitalist admissions service, including: • Descriptive timing metrics across the admission workflow • Early implementation experience across a multi-site health system • High patient satisfaction and strong staff reception of the TeleHospitalist admission model These findings provide an early look at how TeleHospitalist admission programs can be integrated into routine inpatient operations while supporting both patients and clinicians during the admission process. Grateful to collaborate with an outstanding multidisciplinary team on this project and excited to see how virtual hospital medicine models continue to evolve. Global Prevalence of Sleep-Disordered Breathing in Intracerebral Hemorrhage Survivors: A Meta-Analysis and Systematic Review mdpi.com/3688426 #mdpineurolint via @neurolint_mdpi I’m pleased to share my recently published manuscript: 🧠 Sleep-Disordered Breathing in Intracerebral Hemorrhage Survivors: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis This study synthesizes global evidence on the prevalence of sleep-disordered breathing following intracerebral hemorrhage, highlighting the frequency of this underrecognized condition and its potential implications for neurological recovery and long-term outcomes. The findings emphasize the importance of increased clinical awareness and more systematic screening strategies in post-ICH care, particularly at the intersection of neuroscience, stroke medicine, sleep medicine, AI, digital healthcare and public health. 🔗 Read the full article: mdpi.com/3688426 #mdpineurolint via @neurolint_mdpi #CenterForConnectedCareInnovationAndImplementationResearch #Neuroscience #Stroke #StrokeMedicine #PublicHealth #IntracerebralHemorrhage #SleepMedicine #SleepDisorderedBreathing #SystematicReview #MetaAnalysis #SleepApnea #Neurology #CenterforConnectedCareInnovationandImplementationResearch #CCCIIR #SystematicReview Houston Methodist @MDPIOpenAccess Activate to view larger image, 📷

I’m pleased to share our manuscript, “Serum Biomarkers in Cardiac Allograft Vasculopathy: A Systematic Review.” Heart failure remains a major public health challenge, and while heart transplantation offers critical survival benefit for eligible patients, it ultimately serves as a destination therapy rather than a cure. Within this landscape, CAV continues to be a leading cause of late graft failure, chronic dysfunction, and retransplantation. Integrating biomarker-based tools may meaningfully enhance surveillance and help move beyond the limitations of traditional imaging. In this review, we synthesize the current evidence surrounding circulating biomarkers that may improve early detection, risk stratification, and clinical management of CAV. We also highlight emerging innovations—including AI-enhanced approaches, SOMAscan proteomics, and machine-learning–driven multimodal models—that may shape future approaches to noninvasive CAV monitoring. sciencedirect.com/science/ar… #HeartTransplant #Transplantation #TransplantMedicine #TransplantCardiology #CardiacAllograftVasculopathy #CAV #HeartFailure #CardiologyResearch #CardiologyTwitter #CardiologyX #Transplant #Biomarkers #PrecisionMedicine #ClinicalResearch #TransplantScience #Immunology #GraftRejection #Alloimmunity #Innovation #AI #AIX #DigitalHealth #CCCIIR #CenterforConnectedCareInnovationandImplementationResearch #PreventativeMedicine #PublicHealth #PublicHealthX #PublicHealthTwitter #HoustonMethodist #ImplementationScience #OutcomesResearch #artificialintellgience #MedTwitter #MedX @DeBakeyCVedu @MethodistHosp @Nadia_Fida_ @atrajarajan @AshrithGuhaMD

Excited to share that my latest case report “Endobronchial aspergilloma mimicking metastatic recurrence in a patient with metastatic sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma,” is now published in Respiratory Medicine Case Reports. 🔗 doi.org/10.1016/j.rmcr.2025.… This case describes a rare presentation where fungal airway colonization (endobronchial aspergilloma) closely resembled metastatic cancer on PET/CT. It underscores the importance of bronchoscopy and histopathologic confirmation when evaluating PET-avid endobronchial masses, particularly in patients with a history of malignancy. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the literature on infectious mimics of malignancy and to highlight the nuanced diagnostic challenges that arise in complex oncology patients. 📖 Respiratory Medicine Case Reports, Volume 58 (2025), Article 102318 Open Access | DOI: 10.1016/j.rmcr.2025.102318 #Aspergilloma #Endobronchial #CaseReport #RespiratoryMedicine #Oncology #Pulmonology #Pathology #ClinicalDiagnostics #MedicalResearch #Mycology #CriticalCare #ICU #InfectiousDisease #Oncology #HoustonMethodist #Research #CenterforConnectedCareInnovationandImplementation #CCCIIR #medtwitter #pulmtwitter #icutiwtter #criticalcaretwitter #oncologytwitter #infectiousdiseasetwitter #IDTwitter #medX #pulmX #pulmonologyX #pulmonologytwitter #icuX #criticalcareX #oncologyX #infectiousdiseaseX #IDX @HMethodistMD @MethodistHosp

Thrilled to share our latest publication in the Journal of Clinical Medicine (JCM): Implementation of Remote Patient Monitoring and Earlier CERT Activation: Effects on ICU Transfer and Mortality mdpi.com/3552268 #mdpijcm via @JCM_MDPI 📷 Why it matters: Timely detection of clinical deterioration in hospitalized patients remains one of the biggest challenges in acute care. Our team at Houston Methodist evaluated how integrating remote patient monitoring (RPM) into rapid response workflows could improve outcomes for patients requiring Clinical Emergency Response Team (CERT) activation and ICU transfer. 📷 These results suggest that RPM can enable earlier detection and intervention, improving patient safety and hospital efficiency—particularly during night shifts, when resources are often most limited. #CriticalCare #Innovation #PatientSafety #HospitalMedicine #ICU #BioButton #ClinicalResearch #HoustonMethodist #RemotePatientMonitoring #CotinousVitalSignMonitoring #RPM #CVS #ICU #Rapidresponseteam #rapidresponse #CeneterforConnectedCareInnovationandImplementation #CCCIIR #HealthcareInnovation #CERT #RRT #medtwitter #medX #Medicine @MethodistHosp @CCC_II_R @MDPIOpenAccess
