$ESN.to did lots NCIB avg $0.40/share
Seems no benefit to shareholders when it was bought out this year for $0.40
Could same occur with $STEP.to?
Seems OFS tough business & no premium offered in buyouts: another ex $CWC.to
Prefer dividend vs NCIB if buybacks not done low price.

Driving to Montana & drove by $cwc.to ironhand rig 2, drilling Alberta Bakken hz wells near Milk River/Coutts for International Petroleum Corp $ipco.to
Raymond James master OFS analyst Bradford wrote today that drillers have been "ruthlessly successful" in passing inflationary costs. Says 2022 EBITIDA expansion yoy to be 70-85%, the highest in at least 12-years.

E&Ps current STermism based on yrly budget cycles. Some term contracts, but generally <12mon. Can't commit capital LT, so forced to take spot exposure. = faster cadence of repricing for drillers into tight market. E&Ps going to have to come to the party. Bullish. $CWC.TO (2/2)
I own both. valuation of $cwc.to is very attractive too and gotta say, this is one holding for me where I assign a lot to the CEO. Fundamental value eventually always catches up. In 6 months, perhaps they should sell 1 of their new rigs, pay back entire acquisition cost plus more
Quick, but rambling writeup on $CWC.V / $CWC.TO that I've stitched together in the evenings after work. Would appreciate feedback, as I haven't written anything up since uni. pointbarcapital.substack.com…
Think I've settled on first Canadian OFS shitco - $CWC.TO. BAM owns 57% of shares. Recently increased its US drilling fleet from 2 to 12 @ cost of $1.85M/unit, with contribution yet to show up in financials. Marginally profitably last year, EBITDA of around $19M. (1/4)
