The remark came while a nine-judge bench was hearing petitions related to discrimination against women at religious places, including the Sabarimala temple of Keralam, and on the ambit and scope of religious freedom practised by multiple faiths. Why blame Brahmins? They were never the rulers. They never sat on the throne and administered the society. It is the Kings (Kshatriyas) who ruled. The reason for blaming Brahmins is to eliminate them by force. If Brahmins are not there, there will be nobody to remember the Vedas. If the Vedas are lost, then the Hindu religion is dead.
