🌍 In commemoration of #WorldSoilDay2025, we’re celebrating the ground that sustains us all. Healthy soil feeds families, supports ecosystems, and powers the livelihoods of millions of smallholder farmers—especially women. But climate change, chemical overuse and land degradation continue to put this vital resource at risk. At @Heifer International in Asia, we’re restoring soil health through regenerative agriculture—putting farmers at the center of #ClimateSmartSolutions. ✨ Across Asia, our programs are helping communities rebuild soil and resilience: 🌱 India: Organic farming and zero tillage through Farmer Field Schools. 🐄 Nepal: Sustainable livestock practices and nutritious fodder crops across 16,000 hectares. ♻️ Bangladesh: Women turning organic waste into high-quality compost and accessing clean biogas energy. Healthier soils mean stronger communities, sustainable food systems and brighter futures. 🌱 Join us in Caring for Soils: MEASURE, MONITOR, MANAGE. 🔗 Learn more: heifer.org 🤝 Partnerships: asia@heifer.org #RegenerativeAgriculture #NatureBasedSolutions #CaringfortheEarth

Youth are not the leaders of tomorrow. They are already leading today. In the face of Africa’s climate realities — from erratic rains to rising food insecurity — it is youth who are turning resilience into action. But here’s the truth: Potential is not enough. Talent without tools is a missed opportunity. Voice without structure is a wasted force. Across the continent, youth are: ↳ Building clean energy systems in off-grid areas ↳ Turning waste into wealth through circular innovations ↳ Developing digital platforms for early warning and market access ↳ Leading advocacy that links policy to community priorities Yet these extraordinary efforts remain under-leveraged. Why? Because we often see youth as “beneficiaries” — not co-creators. As “future leaders” — not present architects of climate solutions. This must change. If Africa and most of the global south is to adapt to a rapidly changing climate, we must recognize that: → Human capital is our sovereign capital → Skills are our most renewable energy source → Youth-led innovation is our fastest route to inclusive resilience So what’s the way forward? 1. Skills Must Be the Climate Currency ↳ Youth must be retooled in areas like agroecology, clean energy tech, and AI-enabled adaptation ↳ Innovation hubs must move beyond cities — into communities where climate shocks are felt first 2. Financing Must Follow Talent ↳ Climate finance must target youth-led enterprises with measurable impact ↳ Cooperatives and community funds must be structured to absorb youth innovation — not resist it 3. Policy Must Platform Youth, Not Patronize Them ↳ Young people must be embedded in national climate councils, not invited as afterthoughts ↳ Data from youth-led pilots must shape national adaptation plans 4. Talent Must Become Trade ↳ African and global South youth must not only build for Africa and the Global South — but be equipped to export climate solutions globally ↳ Digital channels, remote platforms, and south-south ecosystems must position youth as climatepreneurs Because the youth dividend is not just a demographic curve. It’s a strategic asset. And if we don’t convert it — We won’t just miss an opportunity. We’ll lose a generation of solutions. Let’s move from celebrating youth to co-investing in their ingenuity. Let’s transform voices into ventures. And let’s ensure the global climate agenda speaks with the rhythm, urgency, and creativity of its youngest champions. #YouthInClimateAction #AfricaRising #ClimateLeadership #JustTransition #HumanCapital #QuietPower #ClimateSmartSolutions #GlobalSouthInnovation #YouthResilience

According to a report by the Kenya Meteorological Department; Kwale, Makueni, Kajiado, Nairobi, Kiambu, Embu, Laikipia, Isiolo, Kitui and Machakos are among the counties that will experience high daytime temperatures above 30 degrees. Heatwave impacts crop growth and development. It causes physical damage to crops, competes for soil moisture, quickens evaporation and reduces agricultural productivity. It leads to reduced yields, proliferation of pests and economic losses for farmers. If you grow tomatoes, cabbages, kale, cucumbers and peppers then the heatwave is likely to affect you, to mitigate this challenge cover your crops with our shade nets to ensure crops get adequate sunlight, and ventilation while protecting them from pests. To place your order call: 0732957984 or email: sales@irri-hub.com #climatesmartagriculture #climatesmartsolutions #heatwave
