The issue with Eric Weinstein's (@ericweinstein)'s theory is he starts with a trivial bundle (think a bag of uncooked spaghetti) then he tries to apply the Shiab Hodge star operator which is really supposed to measure topological twist if the bundle is nontrivial (think cooked spaghetti). But since the bundle PFr(C̃) is topologically trivial (uncooked/untwisted) because the underlying geometry is built from a bare topological X^4 with no initial metric, and Y is contractible as a fiber bundle of metrics, then relevant sections of the bundle needed to preserve the unified gauge theory collapse to zero or become degenerate in ways that break the construction. Tim Nguyen (@IAmTimNguyen) similarly identified that if Φ_r is structure-group invariant, then conjugating it does nothing, and the ε-field drops out and the shiab never couples to the gauge sector it claims to absorb; and the invariant subspaces go to zero. Thus the shiab never couples to the gauge sector it claims to absorb. The deeper point here being that the only thing that could connect the shiab operator to the gauge sector is the topological twist which is innately missing in the construction. This is the big problem with geometric unity; there is no unification. #UFT #whygeometricunityaintit #TOE #GeometricUnity #GeometricUnityCritique #UFT #TheoryOfEverything #TOE #PhysicsTwitter #ShiabOperator @ericweinstein @skdh @IAmTimNguyen @TOEwithCurt @joerogan @joeroganhq @NotEvenWrong @seanmcarroll @BrianKeating @garrettlisi
