From Daraa, specifically from the Um Walad Water Supply Station, Bahar Organization continues to support water services and improve access to safe and sustainable water for the local community.
As part of the maintenance and rehabilitation works at the station, a new 100-horsepower electric motor was installed to operate the water lifting pump. In addition, maintenance was carried out on the pump responsible for transferring water from the station to the water tower/tank in Um Walad town, located approximately 10 km from the pumping station.
This station serves nearly 17,000 people in the area, and these works contribute to improving pumping efficiency and ensuring more sustainable access to water for residents.
The maintenance included the installation of several repair parts, followed by a trial operation of the pump and motor at a pressure of 15 bar and a pumping capacity of 40 cubic meters per hour.
The trial operation is currently being monitored to identify and resolve any technical challenges that may arise during pumping. This is being done in cooperation with the local council and the Water Directorate, under the supervision of Bahar Organization’s field engineer, who is coordinating closely with the supplier to follow up on repairs and address any technical issues to ensure service stability.
At Bahar, we continue working to support essential infrastructure and improve services that directly impact the lives of communities.
