On 24th September 2024, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi honored two of Odisha's finest educators, Dr. Dwiti Chandra Sahu and Santosh Kumar Kar, at Lokaseva Bhawan for their achievements in the 2024 National Awards for Teachers. While congratulating them, Chief Minister expressed pride in their accomplishments, highlighting the role they play in elevating the standards of teaching in Odisha. Dr. Sahu, an art teacher at Bilesu Government High School in Rayagada, has skillfully integrated tribal culture and art into education, making learning both entertaining and enriching similarly, Santosh Kumar Kar, a science teacher from Narla Road Jay Durga High School in Kalahandi, has been recognized for his innovative teaching methods that simplify complex science concepts, fostering curiosity and understanding among students. Their unique approaches and dedication have earned them admiration on the national stage, underscoring the importance of passion in education. On this occasion Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja emphasized the crucial responsibility of teachers in shaping future citizens, and noted that educators like Kar and Sahu serve as powerful inspirations to their peers. Their commitment reflects the transformative impact that dedicated teaching can have on the lives of students and society at large. The ceremony was graced by Shri Bishnupada Sethi, Principal Secretary of the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department, and OSEPA Director Smt. Ananya Das.
