$ICP BURN IS ACCELERATING — HIGHEST WEEKLY BURN SINCE AUGUST 2025 ♾️🔥
Last week, the Internet Computer burned 49.9K $ICP.
That is the highest weekly burn since August 2025, based on @icterminal data.
This is not just a random spike.
The burn history shows a clear increase in blockchain usage over time:
Early weeks on the chart were mostly sitting in the lower burn range.
Then usage started pushing higher.
Several later weeks moved into the 20K–35K $ICP burn range.
Now we have hit 49.9K $ICP burned in one week.
That is a major signal.
Why does this matter?
Because $ICP burn is tied to real network consumption.
Apps, canisters, compute, storage, AI workloads, transactions, and infrastructure activity all consume cycles.
Cycles are created from $ICP.
When more cycles are used, more $ICP is burned.
So increasing burn is not hype.
It is measurable blockchain usage.
And this is before Cloud Engines fully scale.
