I've occasionally received notebooks, which I love. Occasionally I've been given books, but I'd rather be given a notebook than a book - unless I've been asked for ideas and have given a specific title. My husband has bought me a Livescribe and a Kindle in the past.
Time to reinvent input/output in 2026 beyond the phone: (1) eye glasses that see and hear everything you see and hear? Meta may have done the right thing for the wrong (AR) reason (2) better pens that digitize the notes you take, summarize and do everything the notetakers do on zoom (better Livescribe that has been directionally right but not quite there?) (3) your best guess. or best new idea? My favorite new thing BCI that is instant and non-invasive for input. Just reads your mind. Likely far away for output.
When I used to do interviews for my old company, I bought one of those Livescribe recording pens and took notes with it just to be able to say " no, I did not say that...I said this (click)". To save my job. Zero upside in being interviewed by these people.
I use a livescribe and also 'normal' notebooks. I love notebooks, but my problem is I write ideas/scenes in the one that's closest to hand, so often find it very difficult to find what I'm looking for when I need it!
We have to have more ways to feed our AI 😅.
Have the Livescribe 3 pen for a decade, only used to write less than 10 pages total.
Would need to be reinvented on that area, to not have special paper and just be synced to phone. Hope you’re doing it!
Nope. I hate taking notes on the computer or tablet. The tactile aspect is really off. I hate taking notes on paper because it doesn't make it into my computer.
IThe best solution to this was Livescribe but paper was expensive.
Its worse than ever.
Laptop, computer, printer and a Livescribe (smart pen and notebook). Oh, and a USB stick, because no, I don't want to back up to the cloud, thank you very much.
