The Department of Mathematics at SRM University-AP successfully organised a 6-day Workshop cum Mini-Symposium on Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) from 23rd to 28th December 2024, with support from the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM). The event provided an opportunity for young research scholars to explore the theoretical and computational aspects of partial differential equations. Renowned experts, including Prof. A. Adimurthi (IIT Kanpur), Dr. Karthik Adimurthi (TIFR-CAM Bangalore), and Prof. Prosenjit Roy (IIT Kanpur), led the workshop sessions, while the mini-symposium featured Prof. Mohit Dalwadi (University of Oxford), Dr. Satyajit Pramanik (IIT Guwahati), and Dr. Moitri Sen (NIT Patna), who discussed cutting-edge applications of PDEs. The programme attracted 23 outstation researchers and 7 PhD scholars from SRM University-AP, fostering a dynamic academic exchange. A special felicitation ceremony honoured Vigyan Shri Prof. Adimurthi for his outstanding contributions to mathematics. This intellectually enriching event reaffirmed SRM University-AP’s commitment to advancing mathematical research and fostering collaborations.
