Africa has produced 5 fintech S-curves in 20 years. That is the entire list. They are: mobile money, NIBSS-anchored Nigerian payments, digital credit in Kenya, pockets of neobank growth, and the M-Kopa enforcement model in asset finance. Everything else the discourse calls an inflection point is either a growth story or a category that hasn't fired. I've spent recent months in conversations with operators, investors and executives running the largest financial businesses on the continent. The same unease keeps surfacing: what is actually next? A lot of the energy is going into riding existing curves harder, or tacking sub-scale opportunities onto businesses that have already found their shape. Neither feels like the answer. To predict the future, it helps to understand the past. Drawing from Zvi Griliches' 1957 work on hybrid corn diffusion and Jeffrey Rohlfs' theory of network goods, four conditions show up in every African curve that has inflected. A mass existing behaviour to digitise. A 10x cost collapse against the incumbent rail. Distribution that already reaches the mass. A solution to the critical-mass problem where the product is interactive. These conditions ruled in five categories. They rule out a lot more. The right question is rarely what technology is next. It is which existing behaviour, currently running on which expensive rail, is about to have its critical-mass problem solved by which forthcoming catalyst. That question generates a much shorter and more defensible list than the open-ended one. The forward map is uncomfortable. The strongest predictions for the coming decade pave existing behaviour with cheaper or denser distribution. The weakest candidates are the ones the industry most wants to work. Read the full article and subscribe to Frontier Fintech for in-depth analysis on how technology is shaping finance in Africa.

Israel is running a network of torture camps for Palestinians. Our reports, Welcome to Hell and Living Hell, extensively documented a reality of extreme violence, starvation, and torture. Palestinian prisoners are subjected to severe violence, deliberate humiliation, starvation, sleep deprivation, denial of medical care, and abuse in every facility where they are held.  These abusive practices are fully backed by the political leadership, which openly boasts about the harsh prison conditions. Some inmates are subjected to severe sexual assaults.  At least 89 Palestinians have died in Israeli detention facilities since October 2023 as a result of inhumane conditions, violence, starvation, and the denial of medical treatment.  Despite the extensive evidence, media investigations, and reports issued by Israeli and international organizations documenting torture in Israeli prisons, the international community continues to stand by and allow Israel to commit crimes against the Palestinian people.  Link to the full report >> Welcome to Hell: btselem.org/publications/202… Living Hell: btselem.org/publications/202…

Some projects end at launch. For YOM, TGE was Day 1. The network is live. Nodes are serving. Sessions are streaming. And $YOM is doing what it was built for settling all of it. For a decentralized network, this is just the beginning.

and this is exactly how Bitcoin will become more noticeable to the masses. imagine having a decentralized secure money ledger network available yet banks decide to enforce rules like this which will only force people to look for alternatives. kind of mind-bogglign actually.
Our investigation, led by @VladAdiReturns, has identified the following key actors and organisations that played central roles in the campaign against the construction of the Ram Murti at Gaibandha: a) Ataur Rahaman Bikrompuri — Amir of the Azadi Andolon Bangladesh, Bikrompuri emerged as one of the principal figures behind efforts to portray the Ram Murti as a national security threat and to mobilise public opposition against the project. He was personally present at no fewer than three demonstrations, including a protest where images of Shri Ram were publicly desecrated with slippers and shoes by Islamist activists. Bikrompuri was previously arrested in November 2025 in connection with the mob attack on the offices of several prominent Bangladeshi newspapers. b) Jashimuddin Rahmani — The spiritual leader of the designated terrorist organisation Ansarullah Bangla Team, Rahmani led a foot march on 7 June demanding the demolition of the Ram Murti, accompanied by Bikrompuri. Beyond his public appearances, Rahmani's network played an organisational role in assembling and mobilising Islamist crowds under the banner of the so-called "Tawhidi Janata," transforming online agitation into coordinated street action. c) Sher Muhammad — An influencer associated with the Centre for Sharia Studies on Purana Paltan Road, Dhaka, Sher Muhammad was instrumental in generating the initial social media momentum against the construction project. His messaging helped seed and amplify narratives of hostility that were subsequently propagated by larger Facebook-based Islamist networks, including groups such as Islamic Bangladesh, significantly expanding the reach of the campaign. d) Organisational Ecosystem — Several organisations played a substantial role in sustaining and expanding the street mobilisation effort, including a)Imam Ulema Parishad b) Insaf Kayemkari Chhatra Sramik Janata c) Islami Chhatra Shibir and d) Hefajot-e-Islam. Notably, many demonstrations were organised under deliberately neutral or secular-sounding banners such as "Gaibandha-Palashbari's General Public," creating an appearance of spontaneous local opposition while obscuring the ideological networks driving the mobilisation. Taken together, the evidence points not to a spontaneous grassroots reaction, but to a coordinated campaign in which ideological leaders, Islamist organisations, social media influencers and street-level mobilisation networks worked in coordination to generate pressure against the construction of the Ram Murti. The convergence of these actors transformed a local construction project into a nationwide agitation, ultimately creating the conditions that led to its cancellation. Yo Brainrot Nomads 🫶🌇 Roadtrip Arc – #333: Morning After on the Balcony ☕🌞 We stayed on that lovely terrace until quite late last night, enjoying the live music, the people and each other. Let’s just say… we might have had one (or a few) drinks too many 👀 (Laika was of course the responsible one). We made it back to the hotel a bit wobbly but very happy and went straight to bed. This morning the roomservice has already set up a complete breakfast on our beautiful balcony — extra coffee included because we definitely need it. The view over Zagreb in the morning sun is stunning. Oma just took a sip of her coffee and said with a big smile: “What a lovely evening that was… and what an incredible day we got to experience again, all thanks to our Brainrot Nomads.” We’re sitting here recharging and curious what you have in store for us today! Nomads… hit us with your best ideas! 👇 Where should we go today? Any must-see spots, nice walks, good food places or fun activities? We’re ready for whatever you throw at us! #RoadtripArc #ZagrebMorning #HotelBalcony #BrainrotNomads #ThankYouNomads #ZagrebDay2

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 To our Grey Network Community, To ensure a fair and sustainable distribution of $GREY across the network, we have discontinued referral-based mining rate bonuses. In a remarkably short period of time, many community leaders and influencers have helped Grey Network grow by introducing thousands of new users to the ecosystem. Their efforts have played an important role in our early expansion, and we sincerely appreciate their contribution. These referrals have already been rewarded through our direct signup bonus program, with referrers earning 50 $GREY for each valid signup. As some influencers have built exceptionally large communities, they have rightfully accumulated substantial rewards through this system. However, if those same referral networks continue generating ongoing mining rate bonuses, a small number of participants would continue accumulating $GREY at a significantly faster pace than the rest of the community. Over time, this could lead to an uneven distribution of tokens and reduce the fairness of the mining ecosystem. Our objective is to create a network where every participant has a meaningful opportunity to accumulate $GREY. To support a more balanced and equitable distribution model, all users will now mine at the same base rate regardless of referral network size. 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 1. All users will mine at the same base mining rate. 2. Referral mining rate bonuses have been discontinued. 3. Direct signup referral rewards remain active. 4. Referrers will continue to receive 50 $GREY for each valid signup. 5. Referred users will no longer contribute to their inviter's mining rate. 6. Both influencers and regular users will have an equal opportunity to accumulate $GREY through mining. This adjustment strengthens fairness, supports healthier token distribution, and helps maintain the long-term sustainability of the Grey Network ecosystem. Thank you for your continued support as we build together.

Bluesky markets itself as a Left-wing social network. Unfortunately, Bluesky also has a reputation for being a child abuse cesspit. The UK Government is not banning young people from social media to protect them. They only want to censor potential conservative views. Sheer evil
