MTC commits N$624.9m to network and digital infrastructure expansion
MTC has committed N$624.9 million in capital expenditure for the 2025/26 financial year as the telecommunications operator accelerates investment in network infrastructure, connectivity expansion and digital services across Namibia.
The investment was announced during the ICT High-Level Stakeholder Engagement held in Oshakati.
According to MTC Chief Brand, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Officer Tim Ekandjo, the funding will support a range of infrastructure and technology projects aimed at improving network performance and expanding national connectivity.
“This capital allocation is supporting initiatives such as network optimisation and modernisation, information and communication technology upgrades, transmission expansion, construction of new network towers, power infrastructure investments for network sites,” Ekandjo said.

Namibia and Angola will soon sign a memorandum of understanding on information and communication technologies aimed at strengthening satellite communications and closing network coverage gaps in Namibia.
The agreement, approved by Cabinet, will be signed between Namibia’s Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and Angola’s Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication.
Minister of Information and Communication Technology Emma Theofelus said Cabinet had authorised her to sign the agreement on behalf of Namibia.
“The next Cabinet decision is a memorandum of understanding between the Republic of Namibia and the Republic of Angola on cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies. Cabinet approved the signing of this MOU between the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology of the Republic of Namibia and the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication of the Republic of Angola in order to collaborate in satellite communications in order to enhance network coverage in Namibia and close the existing network gaps,” Theofelus said.

जब तक bsnl अपनी networkcoverage और डेटा स्पीड नहीं बढ़ाएगी कोई ग्राहक नहीं जुड़ेगा, ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के साथ शहरी क्षेत्रों में भी bsnl का network नहीं रहता है।मैं 2006 से BSNL use कर रहा हु परंतु सुविधा सबसे खराब है।इसलिए दूसरे सर्विस प्रोवाइडर की भी sim नंबर use करता हूं ।
