@Nextiva. I started using voip in my business in 2008. Seen them all. Also phonelady (dot) com for quality phones at a fraction of the price. Polycom is what we used.

Robinhood CEO @vladtenev reinvented their earnings calls after he heard a YouTuber streaming one and apologizing for how boring it was:
“If I’m bored, the people watching this must be really bored.”
“We were doing earnings the old fashioned way: we had the Polycom. We had the script. I would read the script. We would take the questions. Sell side analysts would be on the call exclusively.”
“At one point the livestreamer apologized to the audience. He's like, ‘I know it's a little bit dry. Sorry guys, but we'll get to Q&A soon.’”
“Q4 of last year was our first earnings call where we did live video.”

It was 9 PM, the phone rings, and Aaron and I were in the room together – we literally played nose-goes to see who would pick up the phone call and fuck with the telemarketer – I picked up the phone and was like, hello?
The guy says, hey, this is Michael Chase and I'm the founder and CEO of Blackboard. I literally laughed and was like, yeah right.
And he's like, no, no, no, this is actually Michael. He's like, cool, I'm in San Francisco. I think what you guys are doing is great. Like, do you wanna meet up and have dinner? We walked like three blocks, I used my fake ID to get into the bar because I wasn't 21 at the time. And at that dinner, you know, he was like…”

We talk about selling for $120M pre-launch to @dickc at Twitter, turning down @elonmusk, getting trolled by Kobe Bryant and much more.
His family immigrated to the Bay Area from Iran and he grew up an aspiring filmmaker. With a push from his mom, however, he toured and eventually got admitted to Stanford.
This led to a series of software startups with his best friends and eventual acquisitions from Blackboard and Twitter. He led product there and eventually (graciously) turned down Elon to co-found Macroscope.
Kayvon is an incredible storyteller, family man, & product mind. And while his accomplishments are many, he's an even better person.

Sobre la mesa de juntas, los restos del embalaje del paquete y el nuevo prototipo. Alguien había dejado el viejo al lado, para poder comparar.
Los acentos en azul, el texto 3D Excel en una cursiva que añadía velocidad, las formas más dinámicas y orgánicas...
Llevaban años trabajando con ese proveedor. Su diseño para el bote de champú Pantene ayudó mucho a P&G a posicionar la marca. Pero sus mejores trabajos los habían hecho con las fragancias: Hugo, Dolce & Gabbana... Sabían hacer que las formas hablasen, que contasen historias.
Desde el polycom, el director creativo de la agencia justificaba las decisiones:
— Somos admiradores del trabajo de Herr Rams. Creemos que cepillarse los dientes es mucho más que higiene, es... ¡Emocionante! Weniger aber besser, ¿Verdad, Dieter?
Todos miraron al viejo diseñador, pero él no respondió.
El director de marketing tomó la palabra:
— Gracias, Miles. Estamos convencidos de que vuestras decisiones tendrán un impacto en las ventas.
— Más nos vale —dijo el CEO, casi para sí.
Alguien circuló unas fotografías sobre cartón pluma: una mujer cepillándose los dientes mientras detrás, su marido se ajustaba la corbata. Sonrisas, familias felices en suburbios californianos. Otra imagen mostraba cómo por dentro, el cepillo de dientes era el mismo.
Funcionaba igual, probablemente se vendería mejor.
La filosofía de diseño que la compañía había aplicado durante veinte años acababa de romperse. Todos eran conscientes pero, con unas ventas en declive y unas cuentas al borde de la quiebra, el debate era incómodo.
— Buen trabajo, chicos —dijo el CEO dirigiéndose al polycom—. En serio. Oye, Miles, ¿qué hora tenéis allí?
— Las siete de la tarde.
— Pues a casa. Os lo habéis ganado.
Risas. Una despedida y un aplauso final para que el equipo de la agencia neoyorkina lo escuchase al otro lado de la línea.
Rams recogió sus papeles y salió cuando los aplausos se atenuaban. En el pasillo, las luces de fluorescente zumbaban con su indiferencia habitual. Se detuvo un momento. Había perdido, no merecía la pena luchar más. Estaba cansado.
Empujó la puerta y salió a la calle.

🚨 🇺🇸 HP Poly (ex-Polycom) hit by Everest Ransomware
The group claims to have stolen 90 GB of internal data from the US computer hardware company, including personal documents and client information.
Note: Attackers are still using the old "Polycom" branding, likely targeting legacy systems pre-2022 HP acquisition. HP says it's investigating.
