SITUATION UPDATE (0530 HRS) #NATIONWIDE #TWINCITIES In Islamabad Capital Territory, traffic flow remains smooth on the Islamabad Expressway and Srinagar Highway. However, partial access restrictions continue within the Red Zone, with entry currently permitted only through Margalla Road and the Marriott Corridor. Ongoing construction at the Margalla Enclave Underpass on Park Road continues to cause traffic diversions and reduced speeds on adjacent routes. Commuters are advised to utilise alternate routes via China Chowk, Press Club Road, Aga Khan Road, Margalla Road, and Shahrah-e-Dastoor. In Rawalpindi District, traffic movement remains normal on The Mall, airport-bound routes, and other major road networks, with no traffic disruptions, protest activity, or scheduled demonstrations reported at the time of reporting. Moreover, in Murree District, Section 144 has been imposed till 05 July 2026, prohibiting access to streams, waterfalls, and other water bodies, while bathing and swimming at dams and recreational water sites have also been banned as a precautionary measure. All major roads and intersections across the district remain operational. Additionally, airspace will be temporarily restricted across parts of southern and central Pakistan from 09–10 June 2026 due to a scheduled missile test. Minor flight schedule adjustments and operational delays may be observed during the restriction period. #LAHORE In Lahore, traffic flow remains generally normal across major road networks, and no protest activity has been reported. However, localised congestion and diversions persist due to ongoing infrastructure development and utility works. Affected locations include Kamahan–Ashiyana Road, Dharampura–Sadar Gol Chakkar Road, the stretch from Sadar Gol Chakkar towards PAF Colony Side Road, and the Data Darbar vicinity. Additionally, sewerage work from Lakshmi Chowk to Brenth Road, coupled with construction activity near Nila Gumbad and the King Edward Medical University area, continues to slow traffic movement on adjoining roads. Despite these works, all major roads across the city remain open for traffic. Additionally, airspace will be temporarily restricted across parts of southern and central Pakistan from 09–10 June 2026 due to a scheduled missile test. Minor flight schedule adjustments and operational delays may be observed during the restriction period. #KARACHI In Karachi, traffic conditions remain generally stable across major road corridors. However, congestion is expected during peak commuting hours on Shahrah-e-Faisal, University Road, and adjoining routes due to ongoing construction at the Azeempura Interchange and on Jahangir Road. Furthermore, traffic diversions and slow-moving conditions continue to affect Korangi routes, Singer Chowrangi, the Airport Corridor, Defence, Quaidabad, Jail Chowrangi, and surrounding areas. Meanwhile, road milling and carpeting work is underway on Abdullah Haroon Road between Sindh Club Chowk and Hoshang Chowk, although traffic flow remains unaffected. Additionally, airspace will be temporarily restricted across parts of southern and central Pakistan from 09–10 June 2026 due to a scheduled missile test, and minor flight schedule adjustments or operational delays may be observed during the restriction period. #PESHAWAR In Peshawar, traffic movement remains normal on major roads, including Khyber Road, University Road, and Warsak Road. No protest activity has been reported across the city at the time of reporting. Security measures remain in place around sensitive installations and key locations as authorities continue to monitor the prevailing regional security environment. Additionally, airspace will be temporarily restricted across parts of southern and central Pakistan from 09–10 June 2026 due to a scheduled missile test. Minor flight schedule adjustments and operational delays may be observed during the restriction period. #QUETTA In Quetta, traffic flow on major routes remains normal. However, night-time traffic restrictions continue on the N-65 Bolan Section Highway between 1800 hrs and 0500 hrs to ensure commuter safety. Furthermore, Section 144 remains enforced across Balochistan until 17 June 2026 due to prevailing security concerns. Meanwhile, a province-wide hospital shutdown is being observed, which may affect routine medical services and OPDs at government hospitals. Additionally, airspace will be temporarily restricted across parts of southern and central Pakistan from 09–10 June 2026 due to a scheduled missile test, and minor flight schedule adjustments or operational delays may be observed. #MOTORWAYSTATUS M-1: Open & Clear M-2: Closed from Islamabad Toll Plaza (KM 350 to 351) due to Road Work; traffic on the South Side diverted. The Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has assured residents of the North East of adequate security ahead of the Eid El Kabir 1447AH celebrations scheduled for Wednesday, 28 May 2026. The Theatre Command said comprehensive security measures had been put in place to protect lives and property across the region. The Command said credible intelligence indicated possible isolated attempts by remnant Boko Haram and ISWAP elements to attack civilian targets using suicide bombers and IEDs, especially in crowded areas. It added that troops had been deployed to critical locations, with surveillance, patrols and inter-agency coordination intensified. Residents were advised to hold prayers close to familiar communities, remain vigilant in markets, motor parks, banks and prayer grounds and report suspicious persons or objects to security agencies. OPHK urged the public to avoid rumours and unnecessary movement, assuring that troops remain ready to ensure peaceful celebrations. #EidElKabir #OperationHadinKai #NorthEast #SecurityAdvisory #NigeriaSecurity #PeacefulCelebration
