GLOBAL NEWSWIRE: Three Transgender People Shot Dead in Karachi LGBTQ NEWS: Police found three transgender people shot dead in Karachi, underscoring rising violence and discrimination against the community. PAKISTAN: Authorities Are Investigating Three Brutal Murders. A chilling discovery in Karachi has cast a stark light on the escalating violence against Pakistan’s transgender community, after the bodies of three individuals were found shot dead on a city roadside. Police in the southern metropolis confirmed the grim find shortly after midnight on Sunday in the Memon Goth area. The victims, whose identities remain unconfirmed, bore multiple bullet wounds, indicative of a brutal attack by unidentified assailants. Authorities are actively investigating the incident, though a motive for the killings has yet to be determined, leaving a community grappling with fear and uncertainty. This latest tragedy underscores a deeply concerning trend of targeted violence against transgender people, often known as Hijras, across Pakistan. Human rights organizations, including Amnesty International, have repeatedly highlighted a significant and alarming rise in attacks on this vulnerable population, who often face extreme social marginalization and economic hardship. The killings in Karachi serve as a painful reminder of the persistent dangers and discrimination endured by transgender individuals, who frequently suffer brutality with little recourse or justice. Their ongoing struggle for safety, dignity, and fundamental rights continues to be a critical human rights issue, brought into sharp and painful focus by these recent, horrific deaths. #TransgenderRights #KarachiViolence #TransLivesMatter #PakistanNews #LGBTQRights #StopTransViolence #HumanRights #TransgenderSafety #JusticeForTrans #KarachiTragedy #EndDiscrimination #HijraRights #TransgenderJustice #PakistanHumanRights #StopHateCrimes #TransEquality #MemonGoth #ProtectTransLives #AmnestyInternational #TransgenderAwareness #EndViolence #LGBTQPakistan #TransRightsAreHumanRights #KarachiPolice #NoMoreHate #TransgenderCommunity #PakistanSafety #JusticeForVictims #EndTransphobia #HumanRightsAbuse #TransgenderViolence #KarachiCrime #SupportTransRights #EqualityForAll #StopTargetingTrans #TransLives #PakistanJustice #LGBTQSafety #RaiseAwareness #EndMarginalization #TransgenderStruggle #KarachiMurders #StandWithTrans #HumanRightsCrisis #ProtectHijras #NoToViolence #TransgenderDignity #PakistanTragedy #FightForJustice

Supreme Court has NOT issued a blanket ban on trans women in women's spaces. It said trans women can only be excluded if it is necessary to preserve women’s safety & dignity. Organisations are not legally required to exclude trans people. So no excuse for the automatic ban that anti-trans campaigners want. Any blanket exclusion of trans women would be unlawful. GOOD! #StandWithTrans #TransRightsAreHumanRights

At #TransRights protest outside Parliament & Supreme Court. Demands for a blanket ban on trans people are morally wrong & wrong in law. Supreme Court said women’s organisations can only exclude trans people from women’s spaces if it is necessary to preserve women’s safety & dignity. But they are not legally required to exclude trans people. So no excuse for the automatic ban that anti-trans campaigners want. Any blanket exclusion would be unlawful. 🌈✨ Happy Transgender Day of Visibility! ✨🌈 Today, we come together to celebrate the incredible lives, resilience, and contributions of transgender and non-binary individuals around the world. Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV) is not just a day to recognize those who identify as trans; it’s a powerful reminder of the importance of representation, advocacy, and love. Visibility matters. It’s about showing the world that trans lives are real, valid, and deserving of respect. Each story shared, each voice amplified, contributes to a greater understanding and acceptance of our community. Today, we honor the courage it takes for many to live openly and authentically, often in the face of adversity. As we celebrate TDOV, it's vital to acknowledge the crucial role that trans people have played in the history of LGBTQ rights, particularly during events like Christopher Street Day (CSD). The origins of CSD trace back to the Stonewall Riots in 1969, where trans activists, notably Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, were at the forefront of the fight against oppression. Their bravery and determination not only sparked a movement but also laid the foundation for the rights and visibility we seek today. Trans individuals have always been integral to the LGBTQ community, pushing for equality and justice. Their voices, experiences, and activism are essential in shaping the narrative of our shared struggle. CSD events are a celebration of this rich history and a reminder that our fight for rights is interconnected. When we march, we honor the legacy of trans pioneers and continue their fight for dignity and acceptance. While we celebrate, we must also recognize that many in our community still face significant challenges. Trans rights are under attack, and discrimination persists in various forms—from healthcare access to legal recognition. This day serves as a call to action: we must advocate for policies that protect and uplift trans individuals, ensuring everyone can live freely and authentically. Let’s uplift trans voices today and every day. Share your story, support trans artists and creators, and educate those around you. Whether you’re part of the community or an ally, your support is crucial in building a more inclusive world. As we celebrate, let’s stand together in solidarity, recognizing that our struggles are interconnected. The fight for trans rights is a fight for everyone’s rights. Together, we can create a future where love, acceptance, and equality reign. To all our trans and non-binary friends: you are seen, you are valuable, and you are loved. 💖 #TransDayOfVisibility #TDOV #TransRightsAreHumanRights #ChristopherStreetDay #VisibilityMatters #LGBTQRights #LoveIsLove #StandWithTrans #CelebrateDiversity

🚨Zuckerberg (@finkd) is relaxing restrictions on hate speech targeting LGBTQ individuals. Now is the time to decide: What will your role be in standing up for trans people and against the hate they face? 🌍 When you encounter harmful articles, posts, memes, or jokes, you have a choice: 💬 Like, share, or endorse? 🙈 Ignore or turn a blind eye? ❌ Say NO and take a stand? We need to be braver. I’m committed to calling out unacceptable content when I see it—but this isn’t a solo fight. Together, we can push back against bullies and create a culture of kindness and respect. Turning a blind eye isn’t working—if anything, Zuckerberg’s latest move shows it’s getting worse. Instead of staying silent, choose to play a positive role. Call out hate when you see it. Here’s what you can say: • “I don’t think that’s an appropriate comment.” • “Remember, there’s a human being on the receiving end of this.” • “That’s unkind—please delete it.” • “This should be a safe space for everyone.” Use your voice. Use your platform. And if words fail, let these hashtags speak for you: #RespectAllGenders #StandWithTrans #SayNoToHate Free speech is not the same as hate speech. While free speech allows individuals to express their opinions, hate speech involves speech that incites violence, discrimination, or hostility against particular groups, and is NOT protected under the law. Make a choice - be respectful. 💜

It is extremely concerning that a man who signed #StandWithTrans pledge & with pronouns in bio is new @NSPCC CEO It's not much of a stretch to presume he rejects the Cass review, believes in concept of 'trans kid', & promotes males in female spaces.
Today marks my last day as Chief Executive of @RSPCA_official. I'm incredibly proud of all that we have achieved together during my six and a half years as the CEO of this amazing charity which transforms the lives of animals every day. Here's my last post before I join @NSPCC 👇

To be fair, I don't think this is his fault, the website domain has lapsed I think. But back in 2023, the website had signatories to a StandWithTrans petition.

One of the things that Chris Sherwood, new CEO of the NSPCC did was sign the now defunct #StandWithTrans pledge. An *absolute* commitment to supporting the "rights" of trans, non-binary and gender diverse communities and against "attacks on charities that support trans inclusion" (i.e. scrutiny of Mermaids & Stonewall).
