📊 India’s Textile Trade Snapshot – May 2026
🔹 Exports of cotton yarn/fabrics/made-ups & handloom products grew by 1.89% in May 2026 compared to May 2025.
🔹 During April–May 2026, exports of cotton yarn/fabrics/made-ups & handloom products registered a growth of 1.23% year-on-year.
🔹 Textile exports increased by 2.47% in May 2026, while apparel exports declined by 14.17% over the previous year.
🔹 Combined Textiles & Apparel exports declined by 5.40% in May 2026 compared to May 2025.
🔹 During April–May 2026, textile exports grew by 3.03%, whereas apparel exports declined by 12.98%. Overall Textiles & Apparel exports fell by 4.44% during the period.
🔹 Imports of cotton (raw & waste) increased by 20.55% during April–May 2026.
🔹 Imports of textile yarn, fabrics & made-up articles declined by 5.31% during the same period.
