ON MOCKING THE ETHNOBOIS
When it comes to the recent discussion of race and ethnicity, there is so much heat online between the factions of the debate that it is sometimes hard to find rational discussion. I don’t find it profitable to reject ideas out of hand without giving good answers to them first.
So to the guys out there who want to reinstitute the whiteness of America, I would like to make something clear.
I am genuinely happy to have calm and rational discussions with my white nationalist friends. I don’t hate you guys, and if you have been paying attention to my posts, I hope that you are seeing that I am addressing your questions and concerns and affirming them where they have truth behind them. I’ve written entire posts articulating points of agreement and specific criticisms.
But I’m not going to pretend that mockery is argumentation, and I will respond to it as its folly deserves.
And I’m not going to pretend that ethnic animosity is something that should have a respectable seat at the table in Christian discussion.
And I’m not going to pretend that ethnic animosity is something else just because nobody will actually call it what it is.
I don’t believe in transgender people, and I don’t believe in transtruth ideologies either. Just because it identifies as “natural affections” doesn’t mean that behind the make up it is not still obviously white supremacy.
Jesus said to judge *by fruit.* So I am.
I argue this, not because I’m in the pocket of the Jews or have a comfortable seat in the longhouse, but because it is what I believe to be clearly, biblically true, obvious, and necessary. This is not gatekeeping or censorship. It is concern for truth.
This is the exact same way that I would treat female pastors. I will speak to them respectfully, but I will not pretend that what they’re saying deserves deep and careful consideration.
I will talk with you respectfully. But I will not act like this is a reasonable Christian liberty area, and I will not hesitate to giggle if you throw a temper tantrum.
I’m currently interacting with someone on Facebook – a man who claims Christ – who is going to great lengths to pull out whatever good can be pulled out of a post where a man literally said that race is more important to him than religion.
This is bad, bad fruit. These are red, red flags.
Get out of this garbage, guys. And if you want to talk to me rationally and respectfully about why you think it smells great in the dumpster, I genuinely will happily have that discussion.
But I’m not going to pretend that I can’t smell.
