"Last month, Utah Business hosted a roundtable conversation" on Commercial Realestate and spilled the beans that #Utah' has possibly overbuilt on the multi-family front. "we still have good in-migration, and Natalie Gochnour would quote that we have 40,000 to 50,000 people still migrating into the state, creating a new city essentially every year. …HAVE WE OVERBUILT? Maybe, on the multifamily front, downtown, Salt Lake County specifically. ....affordability is a concern,".....Nate Boyer, President, The Boyer Company. utahbusiness.com/qa/2026/06/… #Utah #utpol #utahhousing #utleg

Did Utah #utleg redefine what an Airport is with SB172 in 2026? Why did #utleg remove "approved by the Federal Aviation Administration" from its definition of an airport? And they included "vertiports" in the definition of an airport.

Your opponent, Utah state Senator Nate Blouin voted with the #utleg Republican majority for this bill, Utah SB149 Artificial Intelligence amendments. Do you think this bill is a good model for other states to follow? How would you priortize AI oversight at the federal level? Consumers first or AI companies first? le.utah.gov/interim/2024/pdf…

Are Utahn's the number one concern in regulating AI? In 2024, Utah's SB149 created Utah's Office of Artificial Intelligence Policy. Within the fluff of the bill to regulate AI to protect consumers, is the part about giving AI companies temporary relief from AI regulations (aka safe zones) while they test out their AI on humans. This handout was provided in the Senate Business and Labor Commitee. Their concept in regulating AI seems to put AI first..."encourage innovation" and Utahns 2nd..."protect consumers".... and THEN regulate it.."observe and learn how to regulate AI appropriately"...... Side note, One of the bill sponsors, Jefferson Moss, is now the Governor's executive director of GOED. What does AI need to function? #datacenters. Jefferson Moss sits on the MIDA board as a non voting member. The MIDA board that approved the controversial Box Elder County data center. le.utah.gov/~2024/bills/stat… le.utah.gov/interim/2024/pdf… (This post is an opinion/observation).

You are acting like the people of Utah are ok with this "downsize." You, and other #Utleg decided we, the people of #UT have no input, no choices, no say in what these greedmongers do to our State. WE DO NOT WANT #DATACENTERS OR #CONCENTRATIONCAMPS UTAHNS WANT OUR STATE BACK
In response to the demand letter I sent to @kevinolearytv, he agreed to all conditions. Protecting Utah’s water, especially the future of the Great Salt Lake, remains one of my highest priorities. As a result of the letter, the project now includes a commitment of water that did not previously exist for the Great Salt Lake — while also reducing the overall effective size of the proposed project area by 75%. It is important to highlight that this process is still in its earliest stages. There must be written commitments in place, and the proposal must undergo a full permitting and environmental review process, just like any other development project in Utah. The response to the demand letter I sent demonstrates that public engagement matters and that Utahns' concerns are being heard. Utah can once again become an example for America, proving that when people come together, they can build the right way and leave something better for the next generation.

When I was on MSNBC & @RadiofromHell 3 years ago talking about how laws from the #UtLeg were hurting trans children’s mental health, I tried to be diplomatic & bridge building. Now I wish I had been meaner to Governor Cox. What a disappointment as a person & Governor.

If utleg can fund stadiums, why not enough water projects to keep up with growth?
Can we stop praying for rain and go to work? Colorado builds new reservoirs. Utah prays for rain. God is a worker like the pioneer farmers who founded Utah. Utah has not build a large reservoir in 40 years. Population has doubled. Water storage per person is down 50%. Would Utah be better off with 6 new reservoirs or $6.5 Billion for a couple of stadiums and a gondola no one wants? What do you think? ksl.com/article/51501501/uta…

The #utleg Natural Resources committee is being updated on the state's "dismal" water outlook. To very much over simplify, think of our reservoirs like bank accounts. Northern Utah accounts are more full than Southern Utah because of our good '23 winter. But there is essentially no money going into our savings accounts this year. So we're living off our savings and anything we use, we won't have for next year. (We technically have money in our savings account this year but may not after another bad winter.) That's why water conservation districts are asking for cuts of residential, agriculture, and industry users this year. GSL is not to a record low, yet. Flaming Gorge could hit 60% full by summers end, water has been transferred to help prop Lake Powell for energy generation.
