As the eng director of the blink team, I'd say a chromium-only web is an anti-goal of ours. Eg. we've invested massively in projects like WebPlatformTest to try to help reduce that risk after hearing from EdgeHTML folks just how hard compat was for them. chromium.org/blink/platform-…
