La Direction de la Recherche en Économie et Finance (DREF) publie un nouveau Working Paper consacré à l’analyse des effets des chocs pétroliers sur l’économie haïtienne. À travers une approche empirique rigoureuse, cette étude examine les mécanismes par lesquels les fluctuations des prix du pétrole se transmettent à l’économie nationale. Les résultats mettent notamment en évidence le rôle du taux de change comme principal canal de transmission des chocs pétroliers, ainsi que les implications pour les réserves de change, la balance commerciale et la stabilité macroéconomique. Behavioral analyses and well-designed nudges can significantly improve policy compliance, service uptake, and citizen engagement. Using an Age–Period–Cohort analysis based on Labor Force Survey data (2001–2025), the findings show that while higher education improves employability overall, younger educated cohorts face higher unemployment than their older counterparts.
