🌿 APEFA participates in Rusizi JADF Open Day 2026 🌿
Today, Action pour la Protection de l’Environnement et la Promotion des Filières Agricoles (APEFA) is proud to take part in the Rusizi JADF Open Day 2026, being held at Kamembe Market Ground from 15–17 June 2026 under the theme: “Umuturage ku isonga ni ihame dukomeyeho.”
This three-day exhibition provides an important platform to showcase the contributions of development partners to the growth and transformation of Rusizi District, strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing among stakeholders, and promote a culture of accountability and citizen-centered development.
With the support of its valued partners and donors, APEFA is currently implementing several impactful projects in Rusizi District, including:
🌱 Five Fruit Trees per Household and Youth-Led Orchards Across Five Districts of Western Rwanda – Rooted for Health, for a Greener Tomorrow, funded by Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).
🌿 Food Integration in Restoration Through Agroecology Pilot Project, funded by the World Resources Institute (WRI).
🌳 In partnership with Restore Local, APEFA is implementing:
* Scaling Climate-Smart Agroforestry for Farmland Restoration and Livelihood Resilience in Rusizi
* Rusizi Riverbank and Watershed Restoration Project
We invite all visitors to stop by our exhibition stand to learn more about our initiatives promoting environmental conservation, sustainable agriculture, ecosystem restoration, improved nutrition, and resilient livelihoods for communities in Rusizi and beyond
