I'm very impressed with @gt_package for listening to my discussion board comment and adding in collapsing group support (similiar to reacttable) in their dev version of gt!
It works so well and is exactly what my project needed

If there was one thing I would improve with TanStack Table, it would be better ColumnDef docs. For example it's not clear how to take a complex object w/nested array of objects, and map a property from that object array into cell rows. @tannerlinsley #ReactTable

Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking smack. They are very useful tools, especially for backend folks to be more effective on front-end. Just not for me.
I will consider adding dependencies when it would alleviate a major chore...something like @tannerlinsley #reacttable is great.
