It's my 2nd time I am reading a book called "CAN'T HURT ME", and I am not gonna lie, it's an incredibly exciting book to read in 2024. Briefly, "Can't Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds" is a book by @davidgoggins, a retired Navy SEAL, ultramarathon runner, and motivational speaker. The book is part memoir, part self-help, and it details Goggins' journey from a challenging childhood to becoming one of the toughest endurance athletes. The main themes of the book include: 1. #MentalToughness: Developing an unbreakable mindset to push through physical and mental barriers. 2. #OvercomingAdversity: Turning personal hardships and failures into opportunities for growth. 3. #SelfDiscipline: Building the discipline necessary to achieve extraordinary goals. 4. #EmbracingPain: Understanding that discomfort and pain are essential for growth and success. 5. #Accountability: Holding oneself accountable for achieving one's goals and not making excuses. In this book, Goggins emphasizes that by mastering your mind and defying the odds, you can achieve more than you ever thought possible. By this book, I understood well the 40% rule which states that when you feel like youโ€™re completely exhausted and canโ€™t go any further, youโ€™re actually only at 40% of your true potential. This rule suggests that the mind gives up before the body does, and that you have much more in reserve than you think. Itโ€™s a mental model used to push through perceived limits and achieve greater performance by tapping into the remaining 60% of your capabilities. #Read2Learn. #Read4MentalHealth.

One of my favourite parts of using read2Learn units - it frees you up to create review slides and scaffolds to support student writing.

I attended my 1st Wrestling match today to watch @CyLakesWrestle. I loved it! I have no idea what was happening, so reading about the sport will begin. Can't wait for the next match! #read2learn #read4fun #SpartanWrestling

We use a combo of adapted CK units (some of which are Read2Learn units), and a lot of our own. To see our full 2-year cycle, visit our website.

Dr. No recommends Ballons over Broadway. This picture book shares the story of Tony Sarg who inspired the balloons in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. It is a great book to start the holiday with. @CyFairLibraries #read2learn #read4fun #picturebooks #BookRecommendations

We are in a partnership with Greenfields PS to share workload (as we are a small school). We develop a lot of our own, use some adapted Core Knowledge ones and also the Read2Learn ones from @ThinkForwardEdu .

A brilliant thread sharing the success with a #knowledgerichcurriculum via the #read2learn project! Such great stories to hear! Thank you @edulorechris
1/ My experience with a knowledge-rich curriculum. Core Knowledge and the r2L units by @NathanielRSwain have been a game changer in my grade 3/4 classroom. We have been exploring Ancient China whilst reading โ€˜The Firework Makerโ€™s Daughterโ€™ by Philip Pullman as a novel study.

Hi. We are just starting on our journey on developing a knowledge rich curriculum in our small rural school in WA. I would love to see your learning sequence if possible. We are looking at CKLA and the Read2Learn project - but where to start it is our focus at the moment.

We use a range of content from Core Knowledge and Read2Learn project, but mostly our own created units with Greenfields PS linking to complex texts and building knowledge throughout. Weโ€™ve incorporated First Nations units too. Happy to share our sequence.

Has anybody adapted a CKLA unit into a similar format to Read2Learn? Or a CKSci unit into a template that they would be willing to share? Struggling to find a flow๐Ÿ˜
