Back when Wolfdancer was 100-120, it was a good track but post covid it’s doubled its green fees and course conditions have deteriorated.

Lost Pines GC (formerly Wolfdancer) at the Hyatt Regency is a very expansive, demanding Arthur Hills design just east of Austin. The Par-5s are particularly good, but also appreciated the Par-3 & Par-4 diversity. Conditioning not on par w/ $245 price tag; nice staff & amenities.

If you are south - check out bandit and/or kissing tree. Wolfdancer is fun hill country golf as well. Avery ranch and Falconhead are decent public options

I always enjoyed Wolfdancer. I have yet to play the renovation. Those holes along the river were fun

Totally agreed. Another is Hyatt Lost Pines in Bastrop, TX. After all day family activities, I played a late afternoon round at Wolfdancer. They even gave the wife a cart so she and my young boys could tag along a bit before their evening movie on the lawn started. Great place.

Phone was dead Wednesday night & most of Thursday... But I squeezed in 18 holes after landing in Austin!
95° heat, 90% humidity... But Wolfdancer was a phenomenal track, and these two beauties were awesome to play with!
