in the eu, you get locked up for memes and stating facts about country polices.
In UK you will end up in jail for posting on X.

We are pleased to announce that Proton VPN has passed its 5th annual 3rd-party audit, confirming our strict no-logs policy. Unlike some providers, we openly publish full no-logs reports for anyone to read. Claims should be investigated & verified, including our own. 1/2 👇

This is really disturbing. Labour are looking at VPN bans, overnight curfews and introducing total State control of the internet.

🚨BREAKING NEWS: the Orwellian Surveillance state is officially coming to Canada. The Carney government just filed a motion to ram Bill C-22, the mass Canadian spy bill, through Parliament by the end of this week. Here’s their play: ✅ Amendments kept SECRET from the public before the vote ✅ Zero discussion on any remaining amendments ✅ Weeks of expert testimony from the Privacy Commissioner, lawyers, security companies, discarded ✅ Only 30 minutes of committee debate They want all the big tech companies to be forced into metadata retention, encryption backdoors, warrantless data sharing. Not to mention that they introduced Bill C-36, which strips the Privacy Commissioner’s role in private sector privacy regulation. The privacy regulator gutted on Monday. The surveillance bill rammed through on Tuesday. The amendments hidden from Canadians on Wednesday. Spying on us by next week? So this is what Carney means when he said doing things “at speeds not seen in generations?”

🚨 𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧 🚨 In just a few days...the Liberal Party is losing its majority. Because of this, they're rushing ahead with highly controversial legislation that will CRIPPLE YOUR FREEDOM. Bill C-22 is by far the worst of the worst. It allows the government to waltz into the most intimate corners of your private life. They can seize your text messages, emails and physical mail. They can listen in to the private conversations you have at home through your devices. If they don't like what you say about them, they can order your service provider to cut your service. We've been here before. We see how this goes. Wake up.
Breaking 🚨 Liberals are shutting down debate, to ram Bill C-22 through House by Friday! This is despite C-22 violating our Charter Rights against Arbitrary Seizure! Please see my short exchange with Attorney General @SeanFraserMP. ⬇️

New FCC Proposal 🚨 Phone companies will be allowed and required to keep a copy of all American’s government issued ID on file Whenever you buy or activate any new phone service like a regular phone, iPhone, prepaid phone, even an extra SIM card, the company would have to: - Scan and record your government ID (like driver’s license or passport). - Get your real name and address. - Ask for a backup phone number tied to you. They’d keep these records on file The FCC already issued a Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to strengthen “Know Your Customer” requirements for voice service providers This is meant to fight robocalls but what it actually does it far worse. We don’t want a copy of our government IDs with phone carriers
