BIG NEWS: I'm thrilled to announce that Arkaea Media Group has acquired Decoding Bio, one of the leading media brands in biotechnology. This is our first acquisition and a continuation of our thesis to build media for the most consequential industries in the world. Decoding Bio was founded by @ameekapadia, @pablolubroth, @KetanYerneni, @patricksmalone, and @morgancheatham and built into the definitive voice covering the intersection of AI and biology. The opportunity in biotech media is concentrated in one place: the intersection of AI and biology. This is where the future of the industry is being built. AI is rewriting how drugs get discovered, how trials get designed, how proteins get engineered. Frontier AI labs are racing into pharma. Pharma is responding with nine and ten-figure commitments. A new generation of companies is being built by founders who grew up on both sides, and they're moving faster than the legacy industry can absorb. The media covering this shift is broken. Legacy biotech publications miss the AI story. Tech publications don't take biology seriously. The intersection between them is where critical work is happening. Decoding Bio is the only brand covering it with real credibility. To Amee, Pablo, Ketan, Patrick, and Morgan: thank you for building such an incredible brand and for choosing to build the next chapter with us. The best is ahead.

My video from the Hawthorne office of the final Falcon 1 launch (first ever success with deployment). This is one of those startup moments you never forget, and why you get into tech in the first place. 7/13/09.

Happy SpaceX IPO day $SPCX It's highly likely a % of these 5,000 new millionaires use their lifechanging wealth to create companies in the Space industry We are about to enter a golden age of development Thrilled to be building new media & live in a category about to experience so much innovation Follow @payloadspace @itsmoislam and @JackKuhr. They are the space-native team you need to be watching :)
Elon Musk just created ~5,000 new millionaires, current and former $SPCX employees. Of those ~5,000 people, roughly 400 of them will see stakes worth $100 million.

Full interview with Howard Morgan (@HLMorgan) on the @SpaceX IPO. Howard is the Chair of @BCapital, co-founder of RenTech, and co-founder of @firstround. "I think space is probably around 1985 or 1990 in internet terms. Still pretty early." We discuss: – how the IPO price was not set by the market and what that means for where the stock actually lands – Starlink's coming price war and why Amazon's LEO constellation is a risk factor worth pricing in – why cooling in orbit is harder than people think re space-based compute, but why it still works – the SpaceX launch monopoly and why the absence of network effects means competition will come – the infrastructure layer being built around SpaceX 👇 w/ @JackKuhr

Wedbush's @DivesTech jumped on the show to chat SpaceX IPO. "You can’t just put it in a space category. You can’t just put it in an AI data category," he said. "What I ultimately view is sort of a navigator of the fourth industrial revolution.” We covered: - The $1.75T valuation - SpaceX's roadmap - Where are we with AI? - Better to be a data center or LLM? - Tesla merger odds - Retail vs. institutional investors - Space stocks - Broader tech bull market @itsmoislam

I've been avoiding public commentary on @SpaceX leading up to the IPO But @itsmoislam was one of the first analysts to understand Starlink which earned my admiration Yesterday we spent 20 mins talking about some of SpaceX's underappreciated near term potential
Full interview with @shaunmmaguire of @sequoia on @SpaceX IPO. "Orbital compute will be the lowest cost provider of inference compute by at least a factor of three over large scale terrestrial compute. As we've learned in any commodity industry, if you're the lowest cost provider, you are going to crush." We discuss: - the growth trajectory and why retail will likely understand this company better than Wall Street does. - Starship and why it's more technically derisked than the public realizes - orbital compute, an inevitability - thermal engineering advantages - his view on why meaningful launch competition is at least a decade away - why Starlink and direct-to-cell will make SpaceX the world's lowest-cost broadband and mobile provider 👇

I believe this next wave of Bio is going to be bigger than anyone can imagine. Multiple $10T companies. Maybe even a 100 Trillion dollar company.

The CEO of @FireflySpace, @Jason_Lil_Kim discusses their second mission to the Moon (Blue Ghost II). While $FLY's first mission was highly successful, the second mission presents increased complexity, as it involves landing on the far side of the moon (a first for the U.S.) and utilizing a three-spacecraft stack. NASA's CLPS program (which funds commercial deliveries to the Moon) just raised the original CLPS program ceiling from $2.6B to $4.2B in April, a 61% jump to fund a target cadence of monthly lunar landings (9 in 2027, 10 in 2028). CLPS 2.0, the follow-on contract NASA is standing up by end of FY26, is expected to be materially larger still.
