Theresa May “we will ban conversion therapy” They didn’t. Boris Johnson “we will not raise income tax, VAT or National insurance” They did, to the highest levels in 70 years. Boris Johnson “we will build 40 new hospitals” They didn’t. Rishi Sunak “we will cut NHS waiting lists” They didn’t. David Cameron “we will end child poverty” They didn’t. GOOD NEWS: £22.1b increase in day to day spending in the NHS That is money that can be spent on more staff and apparently…. “Thousands of new beds” It’s a relief. Details are scant, but safe to say access to healthcare will get better!
