My work studying the roles of newly identified histone mutations in human cancers is out! I've been incredibly lucky to have such an excellent team of scientists, collaborators, and friends working with me on this. Congrats to all!
Histone globular domain mutations can alter fundamental chromatin remodeling processes and cancer-associated pathways, from @jdbagert, @MMMitchener, Tom Muir and colleagues. Readable link at rdcu.be/cf0Xu. nature.com/articles/s41589-0…

Big takeaway from analysis of the effectiveness of government interventions of the Covid pandemic: Limiting gatherings, closing businesses, closing schools, and stay-at-home orders are ALL important for lowering transmission rates (no magic bullet). science.sciencemag.org/conte…

After several months and lots of work, our review is finally out! In it we discuss how 🧬sequencing, 🔬 microscopy, and 🧑‍🔬 synbio approaches can be used to both understand and engineer chromatin as a dynamic system! @GallowayLabMIT @ChrisPJohnstone sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Same here! We had learned about all these little machines but this was the first time I could “see” them in action.
The marvelous and beautiful world of molecular biology. This animation made a big impact on me when it was introduced ~15 years ago: bit.ly/3nxM3IL

Trump is giving his RNC speech to a huge crowd, everyone packed together, without masks, while blaming China for not containing COVID-19. It tells you everything you need to know about this administration’s response to this pandemic.
