🚨Trump's Project 2025 will dismantle Veterans' healthcare! This is not only a betrayal, but dangerous to the lives and well-being of those who’ve served. Please read and share this critical information! #VeteransAgainstProject2025

Fwiw - trade shows cost approximately 30-40% more post-COVID vs pre-COVID. And for a show that was more downfunnel marketing than direct revenue generation, that radically changes the calculus.

Okay I wave my magic wand and every single person on the street is now 100% sober. They still can't afford a first and last month deposit, they don't have a 700 credit score, have an eviction on their record, and can't afford a 10% rent increase every year. Now what?

Oh cool! The last big thing I worked on before I left is up. It's a system where you can set triggered effects for IRL games via donations. Like forcing a NAT20 in D&D, or a countering a card in a game of Magic, or a reverse a billion in Uno. Glad to see it is out in the wild!
ANNOUNCEMENT TIME: Have you ever wanted to turn your favorite board game, card game, or roleplaying game into a way to fundraise for the kids of St. Jude? Well, now you can! Game Warp is here! 👀🎲 ➡️stjude.org/gamewarp

Try pitching a VR game without guns and you'll know my pain. Someone actually said "what if you added guns" to my slice of life narrative adventure game.
reading this piece and about how the game was constantly challenged for funding and thinking to myself... just what /do/ financiers want out of a game? the game's mechanics are clearly in homage to max payne, which was super popular and easy to digest. how is that "unproven"?

The woke agenda is ruining movies, I mean if they made Alien today they’d probably cast a woman as the lead and make one of the characters trans

Fun fact: ups and FedEx only directly service 20% of addresses in the USA. The rest are handed off to USPS who is obligated to service 100%

It's really easy to take principles like DRY overboard, but remember that premature overloading is almost always unnecessary. Don't build around features that aren't yet needed. They will likely change before they are implemented, and working around those assumptions gets hard.

The watershed on mandatory in-office work has come and gone. If you're mandating people to work from an office, you're abdicating trust, flexibility, better teams, better work/life balance and doubling down on higher costs, lower productivity, and a more vulnerable workforce.

Disliking something that's bad isn't the same thing as having a value, having a value is when you act in accordance to your beliefs even though it's personally inconvenient for you to do so

These people are keeping history in a space where it can potentially exist for 1000s of years but due to a few publishing companies and greedy wackos we might lose it. These people are saving art, keeping it recorded, it's literally called the Internet Archive
At the Internet Archive, this is how we digitize a book. We never destroy a book by cutting off its binding. Instead, we digitize it the hard way--one page at a time. #digitalbooks

After Beast Wars, I binged #Transformers Beast Machines. It's honestly not bad, but it's not a great transformers show either. If it was any other IP, it'd be great.

Decided to binge watch #Transformers Beast Wars (1996), as I haven't seen it since it originally aired on TV. Honestly? It holds up well. It's chock full of scenes recreated from famous movies like Terminator and Rambo2, so it's a fun re-watch as an adult
