We've been pretty busy at @10xGenomics building some pretty amazing technolgies to peer into FFPE samples at unprecedented resolution. I don't think its possible to overstate how big of deal this is!!! biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

In Situ Technology has come full circle!
Originally pioneered and developed in the Nilsson lab, in situ analysis / sequencing has come home in the form of two Xenium In Situ platforms from @10xGenomics.
Xenium will be offered as a service by Spatial Omics platform @scilifelab

Now that plexy was cool but I think most the systems can theoretically get to >5K genes. BUT this isoform and snp level analysis is very cool. I don't see any other approch able to pull this off.

Holy shit! I just learned that Carolyn Bertozzi - in addition to being a badass chemist and Nobel - was in a band with Tom Morello - guitarist from Rage Against the Machine 🤯

Congrats to my former @Harvard bandmate @CarolynBertozzi on her @NobelPrize in chemistry! We won the Ivy League Battle of the Bands in 1986 with our rockin’ group ‘Bored Of Education’, with her on keyboards & me in spandex. news.stanford.edu/2022/10/05…
