How _dare_ you make that comparison? You're talking photo op enabled by the violent repression of our people, including with tear gas, a chemical weapon banned in war. And comparing it with the signing of the ADA, a civil rights law.

Except on a PDP-10, where memory address 7 is just Accumulator 7. Which is to say that the PDP-10 is word addressed _and_ the registers lived in the same address space as main memory.
(It's weird and cool from the modern perspective but I gathered it made more sense in the 60s.)
