ALT AI4Life at the 5th NEUBIAS Conference
Posted by Estibaliz Gómez-de-Mariscal, on 26 May 2023
AI4Life recently participated in the 5th NEUBIAS Conference in Porto, Portugal, a two-part event comprising the Defragmentation Training School and the Open Symposium. This conference brought together experts and enthusiasts in the field of BioImage Analysis (BIA) to explore cutting-edge techniques and advancements in the integration of cloud computing. Under the umbrella of AI4Life, there were significant contributions in various sessions and presentations during the conference showcasing the projectās expertise and involvement in the BIA community.

ALT Arrate Muñoz Barrutia, Daniel Sage, Estibaliz Gómez de Mariscal, Carlos Garcia-López-de-Haro and Wei Ouyang. It shows a screenshot of the paper "DeepImageJ: A user-friendly environment to run deep learning models in ImageJ"
Dominik Kutra from @ilastik_team help trainees with #ImageSegmentation in ilastik, explore and discover the tools in the @bioimageio š¦ and run the model zoo models in ilastik.
ALT Ilastik workflows: Load data -> preprocess...
The image shows examples of pixel classification, object classification, neural network classification, carving, boundary-based segmentation and tracking
ALT ilastik - interactive machine-learning for everyone
New machine learning algorithms: with less training data, with biological priors, for cutting-edge modalities
And now comes the hands-on session! How to look for a model in @bioimageio to segment Bacillus Subtilis bacteria? Can the model be downloaded and run? @gomez_mariscal teaches all this and more!
