"The Albemarle GOP has been trying to deceive voters for months, while supporting a slate of 'non-partisan' candidates with financial support, volunteers...even setting up two tents at early voting—all in an attempt to mislead voters." - @AlbemarleDems bluevirginia.us/2023/11/thur…

If you are looking for a simple way to explain the child care crisis to a community member or legislator, use this great graphic story.
Did Covid break child care or was it already broken? Cool graphic story from @Beckgale illustrator Dianne Kirsch. bit.ly/3PmXyE0 @BetterLifeLab @NewAmerica

I agree Nadia. I monitored all throughout the night hoping for something!
.@SenateDems are advancing the Inflation Reduction Act to lower costs for families with NO funding for child care. Many families spend more on child care than housing, food, and college tuition. @SenatorDurbin, women & families want to know: #WheresChildCare?

That’s my son @TheRealCSD!
The Bracket Matrix 5-year rankings have been updated for 2022. @TheRealCSD maintains his lead for another season followed by @BracketDom, @Bauertology and @ElamEnding bracketmatrix.com/rankings.h…
This was my take on the number as well. In major cities it is closer to $22,000
To be clear, infant care for only $14,000/year would be hard to find in many (most?) major cities 🥴

This is a New Years resolution I can support!
How about this for a #newyearsresolution? Let's make sure no #childcare provider has to work for poverty-level wages. Support investments in child care now.
Love this. So true. Also on epi pens!
In a way Manchin was right. Some of them will spend their Child Tax Credit on drugs. It’s called insulin and it should cost $35 not $1,000.
The economy will continue to slow without BBB because there is not an adequate supply of child care to support full employment.

NEW from me in @FastCompany: In all the talk of costs, we’re missing the economic slowdown that will follow from letting the child care system die (which is in process!) — and missing that an investment in affordable child care rapidly pays for itself. fastcompany.com/90708656/thi…

This is what families are using the child tax credit for.
