This has to be the most incredible puff pieces about geopolitics I can remember. Verbs are important. "taking" isn't what people with no skin in the have would call an invasion, but more importantly it's framed as some kind of intervention that's necessary for stability.

I'm Jewish. I'm also Mancunian. Every other national party leader was interviewed by Laura Kuenssberg during their conference. Maybe the BBC thought as someone who also supports Palestine - I had nothing to say? Let's keep growing: join.greenparty.org.uk

For a man who fashions himself a free speech martyr, Mr. Farage seems most at home with Putin and the autocrats of the world. In Congress he testified freely, calling the UK an “authoritarian” regime but left before all Members could question him so he could be on his TV show!
Jamie Raskin notes that despite Farage saying he had to leave early, he’s currently being interviewed by GB News outside. They’re sending someone to ask him to come back.

Remember when Britain had a week of coordinated outrage when a punk band said death to the genocidal Israeli army? In the North of Ireland, a part of my country Britain still sadly has jurisdiction over, this year like every year, British loyalists call for KAT, i.e., all Irish nationalists & Catholics ('Taigs' - derived from my name!) to be killed. Not a dicky bird from Brit media. Are Jews more important than Catholics? That seems like state sanctioned sectarianism.

This is what oligarchy looks like: Jeff Bezos, the 3rd richest man in the world worth $231 billion, can afford to sail into Venice on his $500 million yacht for his $20 million, 3-day wedding to give his bride a $5 million ring because his real tax rate is 1.1%. Tax the rich!

It’s important to understand that BBC Question Time panel members are not chosen based on the number of MPs there are of the party they represent. They are based on the extreme right wing views of talentless, socially ambitious BBC middle managers.

Important context & clarification:

The Settlers, the doc I made for the BBC, is now available to stream in the US on BBC Select. It couldn’t be more timely with the announcement today that the Israeli govt has approved construction of 22 new settlements in the West Bank - which are illegal under international law.

It is a domestic UK offence under the ICC Act to be complicit in genocide. The UK has supplied munitions, aircraft parts, aerial surveillance, special forces and diplomatic support to open Genocide in Gaza. Nobody charged. Kneecap face terror charges for - displaying a flag.

Ignoring an SOS in international waters is a breach of maritime law. Bombing a humanitarian vessel is a war crime. Silence from those who claim to uphold human rights is complicity.

Poor old Gary Stevenson they invited him on to Question Time because they thought they could all gang up on him and make him look a fool. Instead they all looked like fools, so now he will be cancelled from TV just like Mick Lynch and Jeremy Corbyn.

How about awarding MPs their salaries on a points system? We can give them a 50-page form to fill out to show us what they have accomplished, and they can be regularly assessed to see if they qualify for money like disabled people. That would be more efficient, right?
