Today @Recursive_SI emerges from stealth to build self-improving superintelligence. Founded by @RichardSocher, @_rockt, @jeffclune, @timshi_ai, @tydsh, @CaimingXiong, Alexey Dosovitskiy & @josh_tobin_, @aixventureshq backed them from day one. The company is building AI that safely improves itself, in an open-ended process of automated scientific discovery. Read more in the @nytimes: nytimes.com/2026/05/13/techn…

We’re launching @JudgmentLabs today and announcing $32M in funding. As AI agents take on more of the work that creates economic value, they generate massive amounts of production data: the clearest record of how they behave with users, software, and the real world. Judgment builds infrastructure for improving AI agents from production data.

ARI is joining @Meta! Over the past year, we have been building ARI (Assured Robot Intelligence) with the mission to build industry-grade physical AI for humanoids. The ARI stack is built on human experience, condensed into actionable tokens that can be rapidly adapted to real-world hardware. But the most rewarding part of ARI has been the people. I feel truly blessed to have worked alongside some of the world's best roboticists, a top-notch investor pool led by @aixventureshq, and the many supporters pushing for us behind the scenes. Starting next week, ARI will join the Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) to continue advancing frontier robotics models that advance personal superintelligence in the physical world. We have the potential to transform AI that can think and talk to AI that can do, assisting humans safely and reliably in the physical world. To the many people behind the scenes who supported us: Thank you! This is just the beginning. More in the Bloomberg article:
Meta Platforms Inc. has acquired Assured Robot Intelligence, a startup developing artificial intelligence models for robots, as part of a major initiative to build humanoid technology. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

In 2023, Dave Haase was a CPA who had been running his own firm in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years when he saw a live demo of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Upon seeing the AI agent successfully file a tax return on the screen, the accountant realized: “My business is either dead in 18 months, or this is the tool that helps save it.” So he founded Juno, a tax prep automation startup. Today, the company is announcing it has raised $12M in seed funding led by @bonfire_vc. Read more details in the @crunchbasenews article in the comments.

No more manual research needed thanks to @annarmonaco and her team at @paradigmai!
Today we’re launching the newest version of @paradigmai When we started Paradigm, the goal was never to tack AI onto existing spreadsheets. It was to build a new type of interface that does the work for you. Now we’re pushing that vision much further. Workflows turn Paradigm into a system that runs research processes for you. Connect your CRM, existing spreadsheets, Slack, email, and internal data, and let Paradigm continuously run the research workflows your team already does. Same intuitive interface. But now a system of action. If you tried Paradigm before, try it again. Manual research is now a competitive liability.

After decades at MIT studying how nature builds - from spider silk to bone to nacre - I've become convinced of something: the biggest barrier to scientific progress isn't knowledge, it's connection. The insights we need already exist, scattered across millions of papers and disciplines. They're just trapped in silos that no single human mind can bridge. That's why I co-founded Unreasonable Labs together with Yuan Cao: to build superintelligence for knowledge discovery. Today we're coming out of stealth with $13.5M in seed funding led by @PlaygroundGlobal, with participation from @aixventureshq, @e14fund, and MS&AD Ventures. We're building a system that doesn't just retrieve information but reasons across it - connecting disparate ideas to generate genuinely novel hypotheses grounded in physical reality. The genesis of Unreasonable itself came from the kind of serendipity we're trying to systematize. A chance encounter with a mathematician working on category theory became the theoretical bridge between language models and structured scientific reasoning - and ultimately the foundation for everything we're building. Our mission is to replace that serendipity with steerable reasoning, so that every scientist can make those leaps deliberately, not accidentally. I'm grateful to our advisors - Kostya Novoselov, Robert Langer, and @Thom_Wolf - and to the extraordinary team making this possible. We're not building AI that replaces scientists. We're building AI that lets them solve in weeks what used to take years. The future is abundant innovation. Let's build it.

Introducing a world built by the Moonlake's world model. 🏙️ Most world models only allow for a limited action space. Moonlake maintains multimodal states across physics, appearance, geometry, and casual effects and predict how they evolve under different actions. 👇

We releasing an early version of Moonlake's world modeling agent. It is not just a tool for generating beautiful scenes. It is a system for creating worlds you can interact with. Objects respond. Physics runs determinstically. Your actions have real causal effects. We believe in building with the community, not in isolation. Over the past month, we have iterated closely with users, hosted hackathons, and worked side by side with hundreds of beginner game developers to understand their workflows, frustrations, and creative ambitions firsthand. Our intention is simple. Help developers solve real pain points. Expensive tooling. Repetitive tasks. Tedious work that slow down creativity. We believe humans are the true source of creativity. Tools should amplify that power, not replace it. Game developers, and more broadly creators, will always be at the center of our ecosystem. This is our first beta release. It is an early step, but we hope it gives you a clear sense of what we are building toward. A future where anyone can create rich, interactive worlds with intention and meaning.

Why we invested in a “boring” waste management software business: Nobody in Silicon Valley wants to romanticize garbage collection, meaning low competition and massive upside for the right team. This is a pen & paper industry that hasn’t changed in 50 years. And in one platform, Hauler Hero offer cloud-based route planning, automated billing, customer portals, and AI-powered route optimization. They have 120 customers across 40 states since launching in Q1 2024. 200% revenue growth in the past year. That’s why we back the dumb, dull, dirty, and dangerous at @CTVentureCap. Legacy industries like waste management are overlooked, unglamorous, can't be offshored or fully automated. And thousands of fragmented operators are desperate for modern software that works.
