You of all people should know the National Mall including the Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool is managed by the National Park Service.
This restoration project is exactly the type of project the Great America Outdoors Act and Legacy Restoration Fund was created to address - maintenance backlogs.
You voted for it.
We support it because the oil and gas royalties we pay are directed into both of these funds.
Not entrance fees.
Oil and gas royalties from federal lands.
In other words, this awesome upgrade to the National Mall is brought to you by your friends at the US Oil & Gas Association.

🚨 WSJ just dubbed Denver “America’s Emptiest Downtown” 😬
California developer Asher Luzzatto just scooped up two prime downtown towers (621 & 633 17th Street) for a fire-sale $3.2 million.
Now Denver’s DDA is handing him a $63 million low-interest, taxpayer-backed loan to turn them into ~700 apartments… including a “vertical village.”
At least 70 units will be income-restricted.
Will they be filled with problematic voucher tenants who bring crime, drugs and chaos?
Meanwhile Denver already has nearly 4,000 vacant affordable units…an 8.8% vacancy rate (a 10-year high!!)
Denver County is losing residents through net negative domestic migration.
Yet the cycle continues:
🔥 Let crime & chaos destroy downtown
💰 Out-of-state developers buy distressed towers for pennies
🏗️ Promise shiny “affordable” conversions
💸 Raid public coffers (DDA’s debt capacity is now in the hundreds of millions) to subsidize the deal
Why are we building more subsidized housing when thousands of units are already vacant?
Who exactly is this helping…besides developers and insiders?

The GOP incumbents who lost in Indiana refused to recognize the one single imperative.
The race in the House is to 218 seats.
Democrats long ago gerrymandered states they control to near extinction of GOP districts.
None in New England north of New York.
Three in Illinois.
Even before the most recent gerrymander, Calif had been redistricted to the following numbers:
2002 -- 30-23
2012 -- 38-15
2022 -- 40-12
The efforts by the Dems threaten to put the GOP House delegation -- including Indiana's -- back into the Minority, with a loss of Committee control.
Indiana refused to help.
The Dems don't stop -- now Virginia is 10-1, and NY is threatening to redistrict yet again, and it is 19-7 already.
This wasn't a "Trump" thing -- it was about keeping Hakeem Jeffries out of the Speaker's Chair, and Dems out of all the Committee Chairs.
How about Maxine Waters as Chair of the Financial Services Committee?
Jamie Raskin as Chair of the Judiciary Committee?
There are many others just like that.
Indiana's Republicans were ok with that happening.
