Europe cannot regulate its way into technological sovereignty. At some point, we have to build the rails. Cloud. Compute. AI infrastructure. Chips. Identity. Payments. Developer tools. If we don’t own the stack, we don’t own the future. Europe needs a tech infrastructure movement.

Marco’s half decade in the Livepeer ecosystem shows what durable open infrastructure makes possible. A builder can contribute to the core stack, operate the network, learn its constraints, and then ship the next platform on top of it. 🏃‍♂️ I've gamified my own run so I can race my own ghost with the Meta Ray-Ban Display. I built a web app for the glasses, loaded a previous GPX from Strava, and dropped game mechanics on top. Pick up coins when you keep pace, sprint zones reward extra points if you push, and a mini leaderboard on the lens shows how you're tracking against your past self in real time. Best part: it actually works. Seeing your ghost 20 m ahead is a way stronger nudge than any number on a watch. 😅

Turning a diffusion model into a live streaming surface is a massive paradigm shift for audio tools. By exposing shared-mutable latent curves, DEMON completely bypasses the chunked, multi-second processing lag of traditional generation and treats the model like playable hardware.
I just released this open source project built on @ACEStep_Music. DEMON: Diffusion Engine for Musical Orchestrated Noise. It lets you play ACEStep like a musical instrument, remixing songs and loops with feedback that approaches real-time. Its essentially StreamDiffusion but instead of Stable Diffusion it is ACEStep1.5, and instead of images it is full songs. It runs on 30/40/5090. Built with @DaydreamLiveAI team, testing, and building the demo. We are hosting it if you want to try it without installing. For full details, links, and writeup please see the pinned project page.

Excited that our paper StreamdiffusionV2 received the Best Research Paper Award at #MLSys26! 🚀Video generation is quickly moving from demos to production-facing workloads. It is no longer a turn-based pipeline but should be a streaming pipeline to interact with users. 📖Our project page: streamdiffusionv2.github.io/ and paper: arxiv.org/pdf/2511.07399 👂Come join the talk if you are interested in streaming video generation. Our talk will be at the Research Track Oral Presentation: Best Paper Session on Tue 8:45AM at #MLSys26 , I will talk about how we attacked the efficiency and quality challenges. Hope to see you there! ❤️Huge thanks to all authors! This work would not have been possible without the incredible effort from the entire team. Big shout out to Tianrui Feng, Zhi Li, @Andy_ShuoYang , @HaochengXiUCB, @lmxyy1999 , @lvminzhang , @xiuyu_l , Keting Yang, @ZiqiPeng, @songhan_mit , @magrawala, @KurtKeutzer , and @cumulo_autumn

“People”
Which are the most common everyday phenomena that we don't properly understand? Off the top of my head: • Lightning (how does it happen?) • Sleep; dreams (why do they exist?) • Glass (thermodynamics of formation) • Turbulence (when does it start?) • Morphogenesis (how does a creature know what should go where?) • Rain (it seems to start faster than models would predict) • Ice (dynamics of slipperiness) • Static electricity (which material will donate electrons?) • General anaesthetic. (And the mechanism of a lot of drugs, e.g. paracetamol.)

7 Days of realtime interactivity at Milan Design Week. No on-site GPUs.
Our friends at #CommonIndex just ran An Ecology of Beasts at Milan Design Week, a 7-day generative installation. The cartography piece in this video was generated in real time on Daydream's hosted StreamDiffusion, responding to people in the room and the weather outside. Here's the full story... 🧵

AI inference @ 60% of $LPT protocol revenue and the strongest quarter on record for usage and fees. It's exciting to see everyone's work behind the scenes further showing up in the numbers. Orchestrators are adapting to the shift in workloads, we're getting better data on network performance, and next up is making it even easier for new builders to get their first job running (in under 5 mins) Thanks @messaricrypto and @immutablejacob for making it all visible👇

Distributed energy and compute is inevitable.
Nvidia just figured out how to put an AI data center on the side of your house. And pay you to host it. Each XFRA node packs 16 Blackwell RTX Pro 6000 GPUs, 4 AMD EPYC CPUs, and 3TB of RAM in a Dell PowerEdge rack mounted next to the AC condenser. The homeowner pays nothing for the hardware. They get discounted electricity and internet in exchange for letting Span tap unused capacity on their electrical panel. This sounds insane until you look at the actual constraint blocking AI infrastructure. Hyperscalers are not GPU-limited. Nvidia ships them on schedule. They are not capital-limited. They are sitting on hundreds of billions in capex. What they cannot get is grid interconnection. A 100MW data center requires a substation upgrade that takes 4 to 7 years in most US markets. US grid operators have over 2,600 gigawatts stuck in their interconnection queues per Lawrence Berkeley Lab. The wait, not the silicon, is the bottleneck. Span solved this by going behind the meter. A new Pulte home has 200A service. That's 48kW of capacity. The home uses 1 to 3kW most hours. The headroom never gets touched. Span's smart panel measures real-time consumption and dynamically routes whatever the home isn't using to the XFRA node. No substation upgrade. No queue. Just slack capacity sitting on the residential side of the meter, already cleared. Span claims it can deploy 8,000 nodes for one fifth the cost of a comparable 100MW centralized facility, six times faster. PulteGroup is the wedge. They delivered 29,000 homes in 2025. The XFRA unit goes in during construction next to the smart meter. No retrofit. Pulte gets a feature on the spec sheet and revenue share on the compute that flows through the wall. The grid was the bottleneck. Pulte just became the workaround.

When I started my professional career I was drawn towards working on projects that provide valuable information to people. I built a few wikis by hand on my first long lost GitHub, I made maps for people to find what stores carried certain products. I then worked in crypto, doing R&D for organisations like Gitcoin, Ethereum Foundation, Arbitrum etc.. I started my AI journey as a consumer. It's such a fascinating topic, I can help but stare at it all day it satisfies a bunch of intellectual curiosities I have in life. ~~~~~~~~~ - What is intelligence? - How can you learn more? - What is possible if you had copies of yourself? - What is consciousness? - How important is math to us? - What is the ceiling? - What are people capable of? - What if we could know everything? I can't help but see this as something incredible. I can learn anything, do anything. I have so much more time to explore, even though I'm bound to my computer. Slop is how we behave.
