Today, weβre excited to introduce Miso One, the most emotive voice model in the world.
Miso One is an 8-billion-parameter text-to-speech model for highly expressive speech generation. It emotes like a human and responds faster than a human, with just 110 milliseconds of latency.
Weβve open-sourced the model weights, with API access coming soon.
Hear how Miso One sounds in the thread below.
OpenAI is trying to own every app and platform and sell tokens, which means they want to kill every startup.
Thatβs their right, itβs a free market.
we need open source alternatives built in America that are committed to enabling startups with tokens β instead of selling them tokens and using the profits to replace them.
Building apps has never been easier.
With Sites, Codex can turn your work, ideas, and plans into an interactive website or app your team can explore, use, and share with a URL.

YC CEO Garry Tan: βMoat is not a noun. Itβs a verbβ
Popular belief says startups win because they have one big, game-changing insight.
But Varun Mohan (Windsurf CEO) argues thatβs a myth.
βEvery single insight we have is a depreciating insight.β
In other words: the value of your insight declines fast. Competitors catch up. Markets shift. What was once novel becomes table stakes.
He uses Nvidia as the example: Even at a trillion-dollar scale and 70% gross margins, they still have to innovate, or AMD catches up.
The real advantage?
Continuously generating new insights β and executing on them.
βItβs not about the insight you had one year ago. Itβs whether you can compound that advantage over and over again.β
Thatβs why Varun tells his team: being wrong is fine, but being stagnant isnβt. You need to stay sharp, learn from the market, and compound your edge over time.
Or as Garry Tan (YC CEO) puts it aptly:
βMoat is not a noun. Itβs a verb.β

What you say is true, but nonetheless our AI will be great. Whether it is the best remains to be seen, but I will never give up. Never.
Space(XAI) is only 3 years old. Thatβs half the age of Anthropic and quarter the age of OpenAI.
Letβs see where things stand 3 years from now.
