This is a lesson I need to take to heart. I'm sure I'm not the only founder with this problem. Don't flood the org with ideas. It's a distraction. Prioritize and inject the ideas at a rate the org can absorb.
Jeff Bezos reveals the moment an early Amazon executive told him he had enough ideas to destroy Amazon: "Early in Amazon's history, Jeff Wilke came to me one day and said, Jeff, you have enough ideas to destroy Amazon. You have enough ideas per minute, per day, per week to destroy Amazon." "I was like, what do you mean?" "He said, you have to release the work at the right rate that the organization can accept it." "Every time I released an idea, I was creating a backlog, a queue, work in process. It was just stacking up, it was adding no value. In fact, it was creating distraction." "So I started prioritizing the ideas better, keeping lists of them, keeping them to myself until the organization was ready for the ideas."

Two weeks without mobile internet improved mental health more than antidepressants and reversed roughly 10 years of attentional decline. Screen time dropped 49% (314 to 161 min/day).

I’ve spent the last 25 years encouraging young people to get into IT. Yesterday, I didn’t - and that break in the pattern says more than I’m ready to admit.

More than 41,800 people have been killed in a year of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. The health ministry in Gaza has confirmed the identities of more than 34,000 of them. Here are their names.

This image, this celebration of mass murder of the most atrocious kind, symbolizes a nation that has just completely lost its mind. It is absolutely repulsive to 99% of the planet, and I bet even to most Americans. Rarely in the history of the world has a group of elites so completely lost touch with the most basic moral principles. Witnessing this should terrify anyone with any common sense.

The US will lecture the world about international law and order then greet a genocidal war criminal with ovation and applause. This is US hypocrisy on full display.

BREAKING🚨: Israel admits apache helicopters fired on their own civilians running from the Supernova music festival. “The pilots realised that there was tremendous difficulty in distinguishing within the occupied outposts and settlements who was a terrorist and who was a soldier or civilian… The rate of fire against the thousands of terrorists was tremendous at first, and only at a certain point did the pilots begin to slow down the attacks and carefully select the targets.” middleeastmonitor.com/202310… archive.is/IIOLg

I just released an updated Open-Vulnerabilities-Project. The NVD data-feeds are going away; you can create an offline cache (aka a data-feed) for the NVD CVE data from their API using the `vulnz` cli: `$ ./vulnz-5.0.1.jar cve --cache --directory ./cache` github.com/jeremylong/Open-V…

We're watching an Israeli genocide of Gaza. 1⃣ Killed 1500 Palestinians, 450 children, 248 women (and counting) 2⃣ Cut off food, water, electricity to Gaza. Without electricity, phones aren't charged, Palestinians can't record, & Israel can commit genocide in peace. 3⃣ Demands "evacuation" of over 1 million Gazans from the North to South Gaza, while bombing them along the way. This is cover for an impending bombardment and potential ground invasion. 4⃣ Dehumanization of Palestinians by the Western PR machine & media, effectively easing the way for genocide 5⃣ Killing journalists (8 so far) reporting on Israeli crimes, including @Reuters' Issam Abdullah today 6⃣ Targeting hospitals and densely-populated areas with white phosphorous, a chemical weapon This is the history of genocide you read about in textbooks. God is watching. Be on the right side of history.

there are bits and pieces scattered through many of my talks in the past, and partially on my online training (CDL from PracticalDevSecOps) but really need to do something really focused on it. This approach in pics I think works for the "quality-assured" world, but not emergence
