On precise intelligence inputs, the Special Task Force (STF) conducted extensive raids across multiple locations near Sarberia Bazaar in Kumrakhali, Basanti, and Sandeshkhali areas. Forces have successfully seized a massive cache of illegal firearms and ammunition hidden away to disrupt peace. I highly appreciate the prompt actions and exemplary coordination of the DGP; West Bengal Police, the STF Team and Basirhat Police District Personnel for this successful operation. For years under the previous regime, such illegal weapons were stockpiled and used ruthlessly to terrorize common citizens. This culture of violence claimed the precious lives of numerous opposition party workers, particularly dedicated BJP Karyakartas, who stood up against tyranny. Those dark days are over. The land of Tagore and Netaji cannot be ruled through fear, force, and demolition drives against ordinary citizens. What we are witnessing today is an attack on the dignity of the people of Bengal- daily wage workers, street vendors, small shopkeepers, and struggling families who have built their lives brick by brick. The massive eviction drive around Howrah Station, the unrest and anger erupting on the streets of Tiljala and Park Circus, and the growing desperation among those suddenly stripped of shelter and livelihood expose a government more obsessed with optics than humanity. A government that demolishes first and listens later has forgotten the very spirit of Bengal. Real progress is measured by how a state treats its weakest citizens, not by how quickly it can erase them. Bulldozers cannot become the language of governance in a state built on culture, compassion, and resistance to oppression.

Hundreds of VVPAT slips of Booth No. 29 located in Garulia, under 107- Noapara Assembly Constituency have been found in a garbage at Subhas Nagar under Duttapukur Police Station and under Madhyamgram Assembly Constituency. How is it possible? The VVPAT slips must have been kept with the concerned EVM at the strong room but it has been thrown in garbage. I request the @ECISVEEP and @CEOWestBengal to look into this and identify the culprits responsible for this incident. And also ensure that the counting process is not vitiated. @SpokespersonECI
