This man has a way with words. This truly captures realities of war for many young American Troops. War changes you.
In 2003 Rolling Stone coined us “generation kill” & while that magazine might be a rag, they got that part correct. War is the ultimate sport. It has deadly consequences, but it’s the original competition, as old as humanity itself. Every human sport is one way or another based on it. Football, MMA, boxing, even Polo. Tactics and physical contact. It’s the ultimate test of manhood. We often focus on loss and injuries (understandably), but allow me to highlight why warriors also love it. I was an introvert before my first gunfight, it broke me out of my shell. I can walk out in front of a crowd and present anything. I watched 18 and 20 year olds who were shy come back with a level of confidence that had them laughing off the number of women who tried to hand them phone numbers. There’s no rush as exciting as a gunfight. Seconds feel like minutes, time slows, senses heighten, primal instinct elevates and combines with ingrained training. Vision becomes brighter, adrenaline courses through your body in a way that only driving fast can even begin to mimic. You discover what really matters in life. Pain is more tolerable. The trivial things people complain about seem pathetic. The contrast between experience and common “tragedies” elevated. Your French fries have too much ketchup? What a tragedy!🤣 Combat allows the warrior to discover and push self-imposed limitations in ways that only SERE school can begin to emulate. Cold and heat, lack of sleep, little food, you can go so much further than your mental barrier tells you that you can, harden up! You can cross icy waters, go 10 more miles, react calmly & level-headed in a moment of crisis. I honor and remember my lost friends, I feel concern and obligation to my friends that have permanent injuries; I still wouldn’t have opted for any other way to spend my 20’s and 30’s. You can never feel more alive than when death is the agenda of the day.

GM, I have to agree with @infantrydort opinion on this, it’s far more fitting a monument than that abomination @GWOTMF came up with after years of work, and who knows how much money spent. Oh, but wait, all of those records are public as it’s a 501(c)3, their CEO made • Fiscal Year 2024 (most recent): $299,028 reportable compensation $50,151 other compensation (total ~$349k). • Fiscal Year 2023: $330,000 reportable $12,258 other (total ~$342k). • Fiscal Year 2022: $110,030 reportable (lower, possibly partial year or different arrangement). They’ve raised • Fiscal Year 2024 (most recent detailed): • Revenue: ~$3.04 million • Expenses: ~$3.34 million • Net Income: -$303,193 • Total Assets: ~$3 million • Total Liabilities: ~$471,000 • Net Assets: ~$2.53 million • Earlier years show growth in revenue and assets but periods of net losses (common for capital-intensive memorial projects). Audited financial statements are also available via their site or partners like Candid. They’ve paid • In the 2024 Form 990: • Total program service expenses: ~$1.67M (primarily design/planning-related). For a crescent moon art installation that honors the enemy. At least with the PT Safety Belt design the whole world can see what a cluster fuck our leaders turned GWOT into, and how they screwed up at every turn, and put their own safety before the mission. They won’t hire Americans, they won’t go back to the drawing board, they won’t admit they don’t care. They’ll move forward, keep releasing videos explaining why we should be grateful to them, and they’ll make it worse because they feel superior to those who fought. And don’t give me this shit about a family history of service, or tell me how long some of the board members served. They aren’t the only ones, it doesn’t make them special, or give them any authority over anyone else who fought in GWOT. The current memorial design is abhorrent, and making videos explaining a War Memorial should NEVER be necessary. A Memorial should speak for itself, and tell the story it memorializes. I apologize for this not being an uplifting, happy morning post. Admittedly I am upset about this whole thing, I lost good friends in that war, and I know for a fact they’d all be pissed about the crescent moon so clearly visible in that abomination. That said, don’t let the world get you down, get up and attack life. And Keep That PMA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I’ve never watched to a @jockowillink podcast before. So I dove into his episode 192 recently. He started off going into this powerful monologue. Spitting absolutely warrior poet fire. Frankly I was taken aback. I mean this was POWERFUL stuff. Then he says one line that hit me hardest: “Eventually you and the men by your side have lived lifetimes worth of life in a matter of months. And those men, the ones that survive, become your brothers. And the ones that don’t survive, become your heroes.” After reading a little more from the paper he was looking at, he reveals those are the words of Sean Parnell @SeanParnellASW from the book ‘Outlaw Platoon’. Absolutely epic warrior prose. And given the current environment where we are arguing over how to remember the GWOT, it hits harder than ever. The ones that didn’t survive became our heroes. We would do well to remember that and act accordingly. All we ask from our countrymen is to be Americans worth giving the last full measure of devotion for. So that if there is no choice for us but to charge into the abyss, we do so knowing it isn’t all in vain. And that we do it for more than because the law tells us to. The law can compel obedience. Only love of country compels righteous sacrifice.
The is no doubt. @SeanParnellASW and his troops upheld the highest traditions of the United States Army. Hear the story: Podcast 192

The dedication this man puts into gear development is unmatched. If you don’t follow him you should. And @Rebels_Raiders imma need that M81 ValK and apothecary preorder link ASAP my friend. I have needs! 😆 Keep being awesome Brother!
One of the cooler products we’re working on is MOLLE back panel adapters for plate carriers. The industry never really settled on a universal back panel standard. Instead, everyone built their own little ecosystem: different zipper spacing, sizing, attachment methods, and compatibility rules. Which means if you like one carrier but another company’s back panel, güd luck. We’re sourcing as many zipper styles and mounting standards as possible so our adapters can give you the widest compatibility we can realistically offer. The goal is simple: fewer closed systems, less compatibility chaos, and more access to the gear you already want to run!

Wanted to showcase some footage captured for our "Lost World" chapter of our "King of the Everglades" docuseries we've been working on. I've talked about it before but the logistics of this region that I've labeled as 'No Man's Land' offers a unique challenge. Without getting too spoilery, there's only one way into this area and you have to time it as the tide rises so the cross-current actually shoots you into this region. The other problem is you have to battle an insane tidal jet during that short window to reach this stretch of backcountry. Oh, did I mention this entire region is a designated 'No Motor Zone' too? The other aspect is underwater footage. I've been debating on how we could get underwater snorkel footage of the crocodiles and it poses a nightmare scenario. Not only is visibility extremely sketchy in the backcountry brackish "milky" water, I've learned it's FULL of American crocodiles. I'm no Jeremy Wade and I certainly have no budget for a full production team, but there are just too many variables against us here for decent underwater footage we want for this specific chapter... So far. I enjoy these kinds of production challenges because you have to get creative with visual storytelling and make things work as best as you can between a two/three man team. Still hashing out ideas but I'm sure we can come away with some extraordinary content for you guys!

Hey Intel guys, come get your boy, and shut his stupid ass up.
As a gun owner and Army veteran, I know military-style weapons don't belong in our communities. That's why I spent the last seven years fighting to pass Virginia's Assault Weapons Ban. This law will save lives and make our families and communities safer.

While on Staff Duty I stopped an assault, called for emergency medical assistance several times, helped a soldier who was sexually assaulted, picked up soldiers from bars so they didn’t have to drive drunk, called in broken water lines, and helped people who were stuck in their vehicle in a ditch in front of the motor pool . Also initiated recalls. Staff Duty has far more responsibility than just answering the phone. Yes I hated pulling duty, but I understood the importance of having an NCO physically present, and on duty. Suck it up buttercup, this is the Army.

Okay well I did some research and it’s not too late. So let’s make the change. Remember be productive, gives ideas, don’t just bitch or “they” will redesign it. Get this out there and let’s put our money where our mouth is 🤘🇺🇸 The GWOTMF has opened a feedback survey specifically for reactions to the initial design concept. You can access it here: surveymonkey.com/r/gwotmfini… (linked directly from their site).

Let me explain why I think Freddy resonates. Lots of Europeans visit the USA as tourists. They visit New York City, or Washington DC, or Hollywood, or Las Vegas, and if they visit natural beauty too, they go to really crowded places like the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone. So while they see our cultural and natural icons, they are mostly in blue cities and they therefore also see the decline, the homeless, the drugs, the dirt and the rude, rude Americans. But Freddy is not doing that. Freddy is driving, and he’s doing it through the heartland, where people are kind and polite, the skies are wide open, and the bounty of Buc-ees and Bass Pro Shops are overwhelming. Freddy is not seeing fentanyl and decline. He is seeing the real, hopeful, patriotic, kind America that European tourists rarely traverse. And he loves it. That’s why Freddy is a phenomenon.
We found another surreal place on our way. I know some people will say I’m too positive about everything I see, but this place was crazy. They had a shooting range in the store.

GM, Guy, I don’t care what you did during GWOT, there’s a crescent moon of Islam in the design, which is an insult to every service member who have their life during the war. There’s not a single name, not one! But I bet the foreign designers name gets put on a plaque with an explanation of what his design “means”. The Veterans have seen the design, and we have voiced our opinions on it, it’s disgustingly disgraceful to the memories of our troops. NO! Start OVER, it’s not too late to do something that’s actually honors our troops, designed, and built by AMERICANS! 🇺🇸 Sorry folks, had to vent. Go have a great day, and be the positive influence in someone’s life today. Keep That PMA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
In the days and weeks ahead, we’ll be sharing more about the initial design concept and meaning behind the GWOT Memorial. One of the most important questions is how we will honor the fallen. Watch to see how we will ensure every sacrifice is remembered and no one is left behind.

Colorado is about to make it a lot harder to exercise your Second Amendment rights. Starting August 1, 2026, Colorado will ban the manufacture, sale, and purchase of many semiautomatic firearms that accept detachable magazines unless specific requirements are met under the new state law. Before that deadline, anyone wanting to purchase one will be required to complete a state approved firearms safety course. Depending on the course, reports indicate training could range from roughly 4 to 12 hours. Colorado already has magazine restrictions and red flag laws. Now the state is adding another layer of government permission between law abiding citizens and a constitutional right. As a Marine Sergeant and Benghazi Warrior, I carried a rifle in combat. I train people every week at @DCFGuns on safe, responsible firearm ownership and use. Voluntary training is smart. Education saves lives. But mandatory government classes and government approval as the price of exercising a constitutional right is a dangerous precedent. Rights should not depend on whether the government decides you have completed the latest requirement. Real public safety comes from prosecuting violent criminals and actually holding people accountable for their actions. Putting them behind bars instead of back on the streets seconds later. A weak legal system is what’s driving our crime up and destroying our society. When you have no accountability for your unlawful actions or childish behavior, there’s no reason to stop. It also comes from fixing mental health failures, opening up mental hospitals, and actually backing the men and women who put on the uniform every day. Colorado families should stay informed, stay engaged, and understand exactly what these new laws mean. Stay informed. Stay ready. Good morning! I’m going to talk about @jordanbpeterson a bunch on here, sorry but he’s the man. I would like to start with one of his books 12 RULES FOR LIFE, An Antidote to Chaos.
