Ready for more super resolution imaging this week both live and expansion @WhiteheadInst using the VT-iSIM and see the how the #ORCAQuest@HamamatsuPhoton improves S/N and resolution.
Here is a timelapse. In ~20 s, CarliSIMon comfortably superresolves 240-slice z-stacks over a pretty large field-of-view. Still not sure whether to call this structured illumination vs. multifocal image scanning. Either way, it's awesome. @huselab#FluorescenceFriday@BioVisTech
For your viewing pleasure this #FluorescenceFriday at @huselab, a very angry cytotoxic T cell is herein playing with a squishy hydrogel ball. Captured on the @BioVisTech @VisiTech_UK iSIM @MSKCancerCenter which we've lovingly named CarliSIMon
Great overview of the history of Super resolution microscopy.
Can you define what you mean by the following phrase,‘soft super- resolution’?

Thanks, everyone for the feedback on the figure and below is the final version.

We were happy to have your little assistant help us with the "little pixel" Quest qCMOS camera demo @HamamatsuPhoton on your #iSIM from @VisiTech_UK
The noise on your little assistant was definitely higher than on the Quest camera at times! 😢
No daycare this week because a covid case in the room. But despite that I managed to train 3 neural networks, test a new camera for the microscope, and pick up a new line of fish from a colleague. All thanks to my little assistant!
Posting some more of my microscopic art. The first one is a Cardiomyocyte labeled for mitochondria and its nucleus (edited to sharpen structures). The second is a breast cancer cell labeled for actin and its nuclei. The last one is a Cardiomyocyte labeled for actin and a mito pro

Sharing our article "RNA polymerase II clusters form in line with surface condensation on regulatory chromatin" in @MolSystBiol We ask how liquid-phase properties relate to Pol II clustering, see the graphical abstract. Below, a thread of the main figures embopress.org/doi/full/10.15…
