#PSW hosted an #SMElevate session in Gujranwala to mark the launch of Alibaba.com’s local operations, engaging over 100 SMEs, exporters, and women entrepreneurs alongside Alibaba leadership and the @thegcciofficial . Representing PSW, Mr. Faisal Butt highlighted the organization’s mission of trade facilitation and digital transformation, emphasizing PSW’s role in digitalizing Pakistan’s cross-border trade ecosystem. He noted that while digital marketplaces, online payments, logistics networks, trade data, and customs processes already exist, the real value lies in integrating these elements into a seamless trade experience to reduce time and cost of doing business for exporters.

PSW continues to advance Pakistan’s digital trade transformation through international collaboration and innovative technology driven reforms. During the @WCO_OMD 27𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 held in Hong Kong, Pakistan signed an MoU to join the pilot run of the 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗔𝗣 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, hosted by Hong Kong China Customs. With this milestone, Pakistan became the first country among 35 𝗪𝗖𝗢 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 to volunteer for the implementation of this innovative initiative. The MOU was signed by PSW's Chief Domain Officer, @naveedabbasmem1 , on behalf of Pakistan Customs and the Member Customs (Operations), Mr. Syed Shakeel Shah. The ValidAP project will enable cross-border validation of regulatory compliance certificates, strengthen trust in trade documentation, and support faster verification of export-related documents. Through initiatives like this, PSW is helping position Pakistan as a forward-looking trade economy by improving regulatory connectivity, reducing documentation barriers, and enhancing export competitiveness, while reinforcing its role as a key enabler of a modern, connected, and internationally aligned trade ecosystem that supports Pakistan’s economic growth and global trade integration.

As part of Phase 2, PSW, in collaboration with the @ibacedofficial , is bringing the WTO award-winning Khadijah Women Entrepreneurship Program to Karachi, continuing its efforts to empower women in trade across Pakistan. Designed as an interactive engagement, the session will bring together women entrepreneurs for a focused group discussion, enabling them to share real-world experiences, highlight key challenges, and provide practical insights that will help shape future initiatives and support mechanisms. To improve cross-border trade efficiency and support digital transformation, the issuance of Import Permits/NOCs for commodities regulated by the Chief Inspector of Boilers (Sindh and Punjab) will transition to the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) system with effect from 06/05/2026.
