Ten years ago today Farage unveiled his racist "Breaking Point" poster. Within hours a far-right sympathiser murdered the MP Jo Cox. Instead of apologising, Farage went on to verbally attack her husband. Farage has always been scum. Never Vote Reform.

Always has been a runner, and always should be a runner. Two or three in the last race were probably inconvenienced more by a stumbling rival, creating a domino effect. That’s racing though, and should continue to be forever and a day...
"The stewards are doing nothing wrong, they've been left in a hopeless situation!" @MCYeeehaaa and @HuntyCaller reflect on the 4.40pm at @DoncasterRaces, where Commander Of Life (stall two) was declared a runner...

NEW: Why did Nigel Farage throw the 2019 ‘Brexit’ election for Boris Johnson? What does it have to do with Harborne’s £5m gift? And why is it tearing apart Britain’s far-right parties? A @thenerve_news investigation by me & @LuciaOC_ (Link below) 1/ #TheHarborneReceipts

But the other three didn’t - and the one who did wasn’t convicted of intentionally doing so. The terrorism sentencing added on without telling the jury should be seen as an outrage for anyone interested in basic British liberty and fairness.
One of these young people fractured the spine of a female police officer with a sledgehammer A lot of decent people voted Green on 7 May. I suspect many of them had little idea of the views of the leader of that party

Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel. Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it. A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.

🚨BREAKING: Filton 4 sentenced as terrorists Amnesty opposes the use of terrorism powers in this case. It is completely disproportionate to punish protesters for criminal damage as if they were terrorists, a sentence which stays with you for life. The defendants in today’s case were sentenced as terrorists because prosecutors want to make an example of them. Today's decision shows how direct action protesters could be treated in the future. The use of terrorism laws against direct action protesters must end. Together we must continue calling out the abuse of power and fighting for our right to protest. So many aspects wrong with this conviction, not least that sentences are on the basis of terrorism, rather than criminal damage, when the organisation was not proscribed as such at the time of the incident. GBH is another matter entirely, but the others have been harshly treated.
Scale of sentences on the 4 young people who took direct action against the arms supplier to Israel is truly shocking. To impose years of imprisonment for protesting to save lives in Gaza is unjust, especially sentencing on terrorist grounds they were never convicted of by a jury

Inconsistent with the ridiculous Derby decision, yes - but let’s be clear, none of these should be non runners.
A controversial incident at Yarmouth. After rearing up at the start, Wrist Art was deemed a runner by the stewards in the 5.03pm contest. Thankfully, both horse and jockey are all OK.

A horse rears in the stalls, throwing the jockey off. Self inflicted, materially affecting his chances. Why is this not a non runner, as per the Derby? This is far worse. Where’s the distinction? None of them should be non runners of course, but this is now a farcical situation.

Here we go; it’s opened the floodgates now.
Having reviewed the start the Stewards deemed WRIST ART (IRE) to have been a runner.

The crazy thing is, the BHA / Stewards think they acted in the best interests of punters. Nothing could be further from the truth!

There is one small chink of light, one tiny ray of positivity, to take from the past week. As Reform and Restore attempt to outdo each other to own the hard right extremities, not only are they exposing themselves as racists and fascists, but they are tearing each other apart.

So if it’s not safe to run a fixture at Haydock now, why was it deemed fine to continue on the day? Same situation with the Cheltenham Festival and subsequent cancellations. I don’t understand this logic at all.

🚨 This was the moment Jeremy Hunt had no answer. @mehdirhasan “The two biggest hits to UK growth in the last 10–15 years were brought about by Tory governments: austerity and Brexit.” @Jeremy_Hunt “Covid, the global financial crisis, Ukraine?” Mehdi: “They were global issues. I’m talking about ones we did to ourselves.” That’s the point. Britain cannot keep blaming the world for wounds it inflicted on itself. #Newsnight #Brexit

There are only 8 Reform MPs and they have a combined wealth of over £70,000,000. They have consistently voted against every single improvement to workers rights and plan to scrap legal protections left right and centre. They are funded by the bosses to rip up your rights.
Reform is now the party of workers. Today I am inviting trade unions to apply for affiliation with Reform UK. We also welcome union leaders to attend our national conference in September and engage in discussions about the policies of a future Reform government.

One of the main reasons that Saturday's decision was so obviously wrong was that Benvenuto Cellini traded at at just above his SP in play for a fair chunk of the race. That makes it a completely different case to Harry Angel, say, who must have been 100-1 after seconds of that Ascot race.
