I’d be glad to be wrong. Glad to watch this deal hold, and the whole region gain from it. Glad to see Lebanon at peace again, and those of us from the south returning to our villages and our towns. Who wouldn’t want that? There is no “but” here.
I was pessimistic. I keep that pessimism to myself. And still I hope tomorrow turns out to be a better day, for the region and everyone in it.

DHS rolls back their plan for at least one commercial warehouse conversion. They had originally intended to turn it into 1 of 8 “mega” detention center, each converted warehouse holding more people than the largest jails in the country.
They’re still moving forward with others.
