ALT Glasgow Labours amendment which reads: Amendment to Item 2 – June 2026 Bank Holiday City Administration Committee 26 February 2026 Committee agrees to amend the recommendations in the report as follows: Delete recommendations and insert: Recommendations 1. Notes the estimated one-off cost to the Council of £520k associated with observing the additional public holiday on 15 June 2026 and that this will require to be met from balances. 2. Agrees that, in light of the financial impact on local authorities, it is appropriate that the Scottish Government clearly sets out how this will be resourced. 3. Instructs the Chief Executive to write to the Scottish Government seeking clarification of the funding position in relation to this additional public holiday. 4. Agrees that the Committee will consider the decision on implementation once a response has been received and report back arrangements confirmed.
