With our collaborators @GebertNadja and @AOri_lab we characterized the proteome of old and new mitochondria and found that old mitochondria are enriched for many ETC subunits, including the Complex III subunit RISP 4/10

I am excited to share my first first-author paper published in @CellReports today! It’s about how the proteome of muscle stem cells and their niche changes during aging and how this may affect regenerative capacity! I hope you enjoy it! 🥳
The proteome of #aging #muscle stem cells and their niche is finally out @CellReports! @S_C_Schueler led a #massspec tour de force that allowed us to identify major signalling axes perturbed in old muscles.....a 🧵 below cell.com/cell-reports/fullte…

Gebert et al. (@AOri_lab) did spatially resolved protein analysis of the small intestine in mice. Their results in @CellReports cell.com/cell-reports/fullte… show many protein changes associated with aging and dietary restriction.

Thanks a lot for this amazing PhD project!
Replying to @AOri_lab
This study was led by my very first PhD student @GebertNadja with a great support from the lab, in particular @DomenicoFraia for bioinformatic and Jo Kirkpatrick for mass spec. We had an amazing collaboration with @CWCheng_MIT and @ohyilmaz for the Hmgcs2 part of the story!
